What is the best location for a world title fight, The Mecca (USA) or Russia?

Pov already said he's willing to fight in US, no problem.

    Doesn't matter

Wilder is getting paid though in Russia, he's getting 75% of the pie, 16-17 million

Maybe it should be in Russia

well no one knows really. if it goes to purse bids then I guess let the best bid win

the fight would be huge in Russia and since if the fight was on in Russia it would mean I could get to watch it at around 6pm insteaf of 4 am if it was in America then id like to see it in russia

Wherever the purse-bid winner wants it. Russia has a very nice atmosphere for fights. I think Russia and Britain have the best atmosphere for fights. Hell, even journeymen get crazy crowds in Britain.

Wilder will duck Povetkin and fight Martin, most likely. Then his fans will say it's okay because he doesn't want to fight in Russia or some bull like that. Just a bunch of nonsense.

Wilder and his fans are the biggest cowards.

Russia has a nice atmosphere for corruption. It's like the wild wild west with a drug needle in every holster. Good for the challenger, but bad for the champion.

Didn't Fury just get uber mad saying they tried to drug him there, and that was after Vlad lined pillows beneath the ring canvas?

Nope. Had nothing to do with Wilder. Instead it had to do with Povetkin understanding that the USA< Madison Square Garden and Vegas are the Meccas of boxing.
Wilder definitely could make more money going to Russia, but at the expense of very likely being cheated.

"Hey comrade, how about a drink of crystal clear Russian water before you fight, aye"?

Umm... Fury fought Wladimir Klitschko in Germany you fool. That was where the mattress for a canvas came up, not Russia. Please, please show me where Fury has fought in Russia. I'm honestly curious because I've only seen him fight in Britain and the US.

You are pathetic. I guess Ola Afolabi missed being drugged after he KtFO of Russian favorite and gold medalist, Rakhim Chakhiev. Yup, corruption at it's finest. How about favorite Dmitry Kudryashov getting upset by Duradola. I'm guessing the Russians forgot to drug their opponents this time, right?

    Russia/Germany. What's the diff.
No American champion wants to fight in either of those two cheating places.

A country where Steroid usage is literally forced on athletes from Putin, to the KGB, to The "Anti-Doping Agency (sic), on down the chain to the athletic directors is definitely not a place for legitimate boxing championship bouts. :-(

Personally, I'd hate to see Wilder lose money because of Russian corruption making him drop his belt rather than be cheated.

Haymon should counter the oligarch with the fight at a neutral site, like maybe London. That would be a huge gate.

In boxing corruption, there is little to no difference. That's all that matters. :smoke

If the oligarch wins the bid and insists on Russia Wilder should do a Bowe, drop the belt in the garbage and fight for the IBF belt.
