Well can't say at all, once you consider hagler lost to fighters much weaker than Lemieux. Things need to be put in prospective, and lost to them in his prime.

    Go figure

Any remote credibility you may have with this post, and you probably don't have any, was lost with that paragraph alone.
Your total knowledge of boxing could be written down on the back of a postage stamp.

No, Cruiser. He would have fought in Cruiser today.

He weighted in at 201 pounds in 1966 against Cooper right in the middle of his prime.

But he could have gained muscle today and be at 225 pounds plus, but then it would have affected his foot speed instead...

But for real, it's a good thing boxing becomes global, because it gains in credibility and prestige and audience :good

Interesting to note not a single one of the ones blindly defending the ancient times and getting mad has presented a single valid argument as to why old ages would be better than new ones :think

After all, in almost all the other sports it's commonly accepted today's athletes would blow old legends away

Wrong these so called ancient athletes with modern nutrition and training would be even better and would still destroy most of these guys today.

Because in boxing there are weight classes. A 160 pound man is still just a 160 pound man like they've always been.

Yea MLB for example is better today because of more intelligent use of bullpen and bigger players.

But boxing doesn't have to worry about improved strategy. It's thousands of years old. We know what works and what doesn't work. And like I said a middleweight is a middleweight.

If anything boxing was better back in the day. Fighters were more active and honing their skills.

Have you ever seen Ray Robinson? The video of him out there is him being a LMW fighting at MW and he's past prime. And he still looks immaculate. He would absolutely wipe out boxing today and be hands down p4p #1. He would be destroying everybody today, he was vicious.
