Sure Pac has the best win, but it was a catchweight win and is what Cotto uses as an excuse for all of the demands that he places upon opponents over which he holds an economic advantage.

Pacquaio was on that juice and on those "shakes " in top of that he dranied Cotto, Mayweathers wins was good but Canelo beat a rejuvenated Cotto.

The only argument against Pacquiao is the catchweight. I'm sick as hell of all this catchweight stuff when there's already a gazillion weight classes. My guess though is that Cotto wasn't weakened, and I'll take him at his word when he said after the fight that he felt fine. Big difference between him saying before it that he felt fine (what else is be supposed to say?), but after losing, he said he felt fine at the weight.

Next would be Mayweather's win. Cotto fought well and bloodied Floyd's nose. A good fight and Cotto brought out the best of Floyd's offense. That was Floyd's best offensive performance above 140.

 

LOL at floyd and canelo fanboys just can't accept the fact that they didn't couldn't dent an old beaten up cotto. Pac brutalized cotto and margarito couldn't even knock cotto down and pac was easily the smallest of the three.

Canelo did what he usually does, patiently go about his business and do what he has to, to win.
Out of the three performances, Canelo's was the best defensively.

I agree with you that Cotto was fine and wasn't drained vs Cotto.
The combination of Pacquiao being fast and southpaw was something Cotto could not handle.


Yes again on that being Mayweather's best offensive performance above 140 lbs for Mayweather, which was the reason why he got hit more vs Cotto than he did vs either Pacquiao or Canelo.
Imo Mayweather didn't respect Cotto as much as he did Canelo and Pacquiao.

 

Well Floyd’s known for his defense, not his offense, so the fact that he got his nose bloodied is a pretty good reason to rate Canelo’s win higher.

Floyd was hit more by Cotto than Canelo was. Canelo’s win over Cotto was boxing masterclass. More punishment was dished out in Floyd’s win over Cotto, while Canelo handled Cotto with ease. Both outboxed Cotto but for Floyd to get bloodied up, that isn’t usually Floyd’s game so that’s as good a reason as any for Canelo’s win to be rated higher, especially when Floyd fans pride themselves on Floyd not getting hit.

Pac-Man’s win is suspect due to the catchweight and Cotto being drained. I would also say that the version of Cotto in each of these 3 fights was a different Cotto than the one who fought Malignaggi back in 2006. I think that 2006 version of Cotto gives Pac, Floyd, and Canelo all sorts of problems. Even the Cotto who fought Yuri Foreman would have given these guys problems.

I think Cotto was damaged from the Margarito fight and it took him a while to recover from that.

canelo fought a very determined cotto i think he might be one of the best cotto performances because he seemed incredibly sharp and smart but a close decision over a guy who has no business in your weight division does not hold to much weight when you are supposed to be boxings next best thing
