Not sure how this is irresponsible. Khan and his FATHER were the ones who wanted this fight, it's reported that HAYMON had nothing to do with it.

They acted on their own without Haymon's advice.

If anyone should be blamed for Khan's eventual demise, it's himself/his dad/his team

Alvarez is not that massive of a puncher that Khan should worry about getting seriously injured in the ring. He won't spark Khan out any worse than he's been sparked out before. Still, Alvarez could have fought someone like Monroe to make it semi-credible. This is clearly Oscar and Alvarez giving boxing fans the big middle finger.

 

What sucks is this is bad for the middleweight division. Having fights and fighters like this. Really hinders real champions from being able to fight for the lineal title, not just GGG but any real MW.
