A very strange fight to be made, but props to Khan for taking it.

The heavy favorite would have to be Canelo but a bet on Khan by decision wouldn't exactly be throwing money away.

Think back to when Floyd fought Canelo. Although Canelo was green, he really did make him look like an amateur. If Khan can move and use his speed effectively, there is no reason why he couldn't win 6 rounds against the lazy Canelo.

Fair play to Khan for showing such ***** but Canelo is a disgrace, how he still has fans is beyond me.

Canelo really is a ginger f@ggot. Wants to call himself middleweight champion but won't allow anyone to actually weigh in as a middleweight, is avoiding the true best middleweight in the world like the plague and in his first defence is fighting a glass jawed welterweight. Farcical.

    Because of 1 fight???!! :patsch

How about because out of the 3 other PPV fighters, and GGG, he is the one fighter who has consistantly fought really good opposition regardless of his opponents style match up...

Any respect I had cultivated for Canelo for his resume is out the window. This is downright pathetic and anyone actually trying to defend it or hype it in any way would absolutely not be doing the same if, say, Golovkin came out and declared he was fighting Khan. He would get brutalized on these forums and everyone knows it. Hell, both Floyd and Pac were heavily criticized when there was even the IDEA of them facing Khan. Quit the double standards and call this fight for what it is, a joke. No actual fan of the sport can defend what Canelo has done here or with his insistence on fighting at 155.

The ONLY plus side is that this should be it for Amir, his final swansong as he gets KO'd cold. We can only hope.

The only double standards I see here are those crying foul yet pretend 154 Titlist Mayweather didn't bring up 135 JMM to 147.

How about the double standard of Golovkin getting a pass for fighting bum after bum when he has options just north or south of him?

How about the double standard of Mayweather and Pacquiao fighting shot to doodoo fighters like Mosley, Margarito, Berto, and C level fighters like Berto, Guerrero, etc.. despite their top P4P ranking?

How can you be so sure I'm definitely buying it?

Anyway, Khan will toy on the outside with potshots like Mayweather, as Canelo can't cut off the ring and telegraphs his punches.

Say what you will about both these fighters, Khan beating Alvarez would be one of the best wins in the last decade, probably longer. I can't even be assed to check, but I'll back myself this once

This completely eviscerates the concept of rankings - both official and unofficial yet within the realm of reasonability.

The WBC ought to be slain.

Anybody thinks Floyd has a hand in arranging this fight? Perhaps advised them both to face each other?

It's a Floyd kind of "big money fight" while Canelo destroying Khan will seemingly answer the questions about whether Khan could have beaten Floyd.
