Listen, i don't hate Ali, he is one of the very best P4P (sub 200) boxers of all time. But he would come in short H2H against modern composition.

Even if he's better than Klitschko P4P he's still worse H2H. Get it?

He would have to do it just like Haye... trade speed with size. Or stay at Cruiser to be competitive.

Due, prime Ali would've been awsome to see against the likes of Holyfield, Holmes, Haye, RJJr, Chambers, Byrd, Cunningham, Adamek, Huck, Usyk, Kovalev, and so on.

Because those guys cluster in his own weight league.

Ali was 6'3 and averaged 225 pounds, how the **** is that a Cruiserweight? :nut:patsch

Some people don't know a God damn thing about boxing. These big goofy behemoths aren't going to outbox Ali and they sure as hell aren't going to knock him out. How do they win? A fat 50 year George Foreman caused havoc in the last great HW era and even managed to win the belt.. :rofl

A 50 year old Holyfield outboxed and out hustled 7'0 SNV 5 years after getting knocked out by a punch drunk, fat former MW James Toney.

A 6'2 Lamon Brewster knocked out and made 6'6 Klitty into his ***** smack dab in the middle of his prime.. :patsch:patsch:-(

    The modern opposition is atrocious.

Ali would whip "modern opposition" while eating a hot dog.

A smaller than Ali.....Chris Byrd....made Vitali QUIT on his stool.

Chris Byrd couldn't beat Ali's spit bucket.

Vlad:lol: has been whipped by guys that can't touch Ali with rice at a wedding.

    Size is not everything....:deal

They'll keep saying dumb shi.t like:

Ali would have to gain 30lbs to be competitive against today's heavyweights that have the advantage of modern training techniques and nutrition...:patsch:rofl

    Whatever that shi.t means.

This is a pure race soldier thread. Folks trying hard and failing miserably to rob mostly Black fighters of their legacy. Thankfully, as Mayweather's training session with a lot of folks in Russia shows that this legacy cannot be denied. Try as you might.

The only thing modern boxers have on the old timers is size boxers today aren't as well rounded they're eather good offensively or defensively but can't adjust there are exceptions tho

Prime Ali weighted in at slightly north of 200 pounds. Today he would have made Cruiser so easy with the current weight ins, one day before the fight.

And Ali were 6''2' just like the natural bigger man in Lamon Brewster...

Lamon Brewster was short but stocky, and muscular, weighted in at around 230 pounds, and never were under 213 pounds his whole career.

Ali would have to adjust to the modern era by adding mass, and give up speed - his A-game.

Not good conditions for Ali to dominate like he once did - when he also out weighted his opposition even more than what Wladimir Klitschko do now a days.

Size comes first then comes skill.

Ali was slightly bigger than Evander Holyfield, who gave the best super heavyweight ever, Lennox Lewis, all he could handle in their 2nd when Evander was past his best and Lennox was close to prime.

Prime Ali - the one that fought Cleveland Williams, Zora Folley and Ernie Terell - weighed in at 210+ consecutively.

And at that weight, Ali had incredible athleticism. Reflexes, handspeed and footwork a fighter that heavy should not possess. Not every fighter is the same, and no, weight is not everything.

If weight were everything, Wladimir would have never lost to Sanders, who really was just a fat cruiserweight naturally blessed with a big punch and fast hands.

Likewise, Vitali would have never been outboxed by Chris Byrd, a man that started his career at bloody super-middleweight!
