Thank you for one example against the general rule...

Well, well past it Larry Holmes weighted more than Ray Mercer for that fight, at 233 pounds, he also had height and reach advantage, and if we look at their weights they look to have about the same BF-percentage... http://media.gettyimages.com/photos/larry-holmes-looks-to-throw-a-punch-against-ray-mercer-during-the-at-picture-id178192118

Between Mercer, Lewis and Holmes the weight difference were only four more pounds in favor for Lewis

See 247/238 vs 235/228''3/4. Not a big difference really.

And against bigger guys, Larry would have to bee bigger himself... That's a no brainer...

If the comp gets heavier you most follow to survive in the long run. If you can't you simply have to step down a division...

it doesn't mean more muscles necessarily, only if the person involved possesses the RIGHT muscles.

muscle doesn't make a better punch, proportions of the muscles (meaning some ARENT bigger than they need to be) and correct use of it are what count.

and no it doesn't beat it everyday, you've already been shown to be wrong, yet you repeat the failed arguments. Why do you do that?

I don't have to do your thinking for you. Win your OWN arguments.

YOU think - by telling me why valuev being a beltholder in modern times shows how important size is.

You are confusing SIZE with DIVISIONS.

    Divisions are important.

The 72 virgins thing is a false narration attributed to Muhammad.

It means Canelo is a LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT on fight night. Khan will face a light heavyweight.

Modern athletes DO train with weights... which give them more muscles and a better punch - and better punch resistance. Because: Weight equals punch resistance and punch.

    See Joshua: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bLRY0EXW3c

Just try for your self, hit a punch machine all you got, gain ten to fiften pounds of body weight and i will guarantee that you will hit harder next time... It's not that hard to see it.

A slickster like Haye can beat Valuev because of speed and skills. But he couldn't beat Wlad who could combine skill with size.

Edit: Weight also equals more power in the clinch which drains the lighter opponent faster. Thus A stamina boost for the bigger guy.

Can't bee denied no more - weight is the truth.

why bring lifting weights into the argument? you need to argue about muscle not lifting weights. why are you digressing?

how on earth does building muscle that allows you to flex harder when you punch, give you better punch resistance?

I am not sure you know what you are arguing.

I'll also take longer to land the punch. That's not hard to see either.

I'll also make much larger demands on my cardio every time I punch. that's not difficult to see either.

I also wont last as long in the ring. That's not difficult to see.

I'll also get beat as soon as I face an opponent with better cardio and who knows how to defend. That's not difficult to see either.

You need to stop using reasoning that you appear to have picked up from watching HULK and the AGENTS of SMASH.

People are not Cartoons, in which the one with the biggest muscles drawn on them is the toughest.

haye is really not slick, its just valuev isn't much cop either.

The smaller guy in the clinch get's ragdolled and must use more of his power and energy to compensate for the lack of weight. Thus he drains faster than the bigger guy. You see wrestling also has got weight divisions.

and the bigger guy expends more stamina because of his extra muscle, genius.

such excess clinching is cheating so you are saying the fat guy needs to cheat now in order to win, yes?

using wrestling oves in wrestling isn't cheating. that's why its called wrestling.
