IMO this would definately be a bigger win than Fury over Wlad. As shocked as we all were, Fury was always improving as a pro and Wlad was slowing up.

As for Khan, he is almost jumping to division against an enormous opponent with power way beyond his divisions.

A Khan win would be famous, legendary....but it will not happen.

Speed isn't everything without ring IQ. Algeri should of been an easy points win and look what happened. Peterson should of been easy, look what happened.

Speed isn't enough. Mayweather could meet Canelo in the middle of the ring and bamboozle him with footwork and a great lead right as well as enough pop to make Canelo think twice of taking risks.

Khan doesn't have that luxury. As soon as his tagged he will get sloppy and reckless and then it's game over.

Of course it's brave of him to fight a good fighter who holds a significant size advantage over him.

There's being brave and being stupid, this is a bit towards the latter

  5. Speee speed speed, thats all khan and his cheerleaders bang on about, as if this is a race.

Timing and precision beats spead all day long, that's why Garcia as slow as he is, managed to take his dirty ass out.

Khan leans in, has poor footwork, allows himself to get trapped on the ropes and can't handle pressure fighters with volume output.

If you got workrate and/or power, and you're decent, then you have a good chance of beating khan.

Canelo doesn't really have the workrate, but he's got great timing and power which will hopefully comatose this fraud.

But it's not though. He gets people calling him brave and a readymade excuse when it goes he gets banged out.

There is no way you can knock Khan for this. Big heart and a smart move business wise. Huge payday. Win or lose his stock value will rise in the USA. Great move.

Would his stock rise if he gets battered from pillar to post for three rounds before giving Canelo a highlight reel KO win?

You cannot criticise Khan for taking the fight and obviously from a global perspective the fight is a bigger fight than Brook. But Khan is obviously getting the smaller cut of the money in this and I suspect with sky ppv and getting 60/40 split he would have made more in Brook fight.

Why take a harder fight for at best the same money. If it is for the glory I have to commend Khan for this change of heart late in his career. If it is because he can’t handle the idea of getting sparked out by someone he has described as not in his league for years then that is awful.

I actually think he would be 50-50 against Brook. Against Alvarez I think he is 5-95. If he somehow wins or is even competitive for the majority of the fight then I think his reputation will be enhanced. However If he just gets wiped out in a couple of rounds all it proves is someone who would probably get knocked out by most top welterweights also gets knocked out by top middleweights.

****ing hell Khan cant win hes a **** house, coward etc (all bull**** of course), he takes a fight with a much bigger man whos on top form who he could get brutally knocked out by and he's still a coward, fraud etc. Most of the same people would be praising brook (and rightly so) if he had took the canelo fight. ****ing daft.

Even this fan thing, brook fan/khan fan, i mean there boxers not your football team, i support boxers but dont follow them tribeally and blindly like one would a football team that just seems weird. All objectivity seems to go out the window when people are discussing Brook and Khan

is this khan cashing out??? no way his wins this. I mean none. His power will be none existent. Canelo will outweigh Kham, probably comparably as fast at 155 hits way harder, They are similar height etc but I just dont see Khan going 12 and not getting hit and hit hard then its lights out.

    Its really a wtf fight...

    agree

not been impressed with his attitude or lack of activity recently but can't fault him for taking the fight

think he has an outside chance. he thought his speed was too much for floyd and proved against alexander he can keep moving for 12 rounds

really want to see Brook v Khan but can't fault him for this

different issue with Canelo - not a fan of catchweights. someone will end up getting hurt
