If we were talking about an active Hopkins, then I 100% agree. However, the dude is FIFTY ONE years old. You're starting to see the effects of him taking too many punches in interviews. And finally, he's been inactive since 2014... And would be coming off a loss where he took A LOT of punishment and a long time of inactivity since the loss.

That's why I think he gets blown out of the ring. Maybe at 51 he's still strangely great at his game, but until I see otherwise, against Golovkin the other factors (age, inactivty, previous fight, etc) hold more weight. He can call himself the alien, but he's still human.

And I have watched Bernard Hopkins. I know who he is. I've seen his fights.

    Boring as hell isnt he

Even managed to turn a Calzaghe fight into snoozefest

    That takes some doing

Yeah, that's how I see it, except I haven't seen jnterviews where Hopkins sounds bad or slurred.

Hopkins has had enough "turn back the clock" fights. Dude is 51, and only human. He took a lot of punishment against Kovalev, and also looked noticeably slower than usual.

All the advantages he has in technical skill, ring IQ, experience, size, etc....are cancelled out and then some simply by age.

The fact that he was winning all those fights in his 40s is already amazing in itself, but it had to end eventually.

Unfortunately because of those mother****ers at the IBF we're not gonna get a chance to see which one of us is right.:verysad

I'm not completely disagreeing with you, your scenario is certainly a possibility, but I still disagree on one aspect... BHop won't be blown out, maybe pulverized into a late stoppage, but no one punch KO from GGG in this one, no matter his age. He's still good enough at slipping shots and making opponents miss to go 7 or 8 rounds. Even at 50% of what he once was.

Which fights have you seen from Hopkins? Don't judge him from the Kovalev match. Sorry if that came across as harsh I was sleepy when I wrote it.

Hopkins hasn't been the same in literally 15 years. Do people realize he's been past prime for 15 ****ing years?

He's just too old to beat GGG.

I wanted to see this fight last year, but I am not at all interested now.

I'd much rather see Little g against Lara.

You are aware Lara would be KO'd by Hopkins right?

If Hopkins went back down to 160 he does not KO Lara. Actually I'd bet a lot of money on Lara winning.

Hopkins hasn't had a KO in over a decade because again he's super damn old.

Lara is 154 Hopkins is 175, he KO's him even at 160. Jesus Christ would people get off Lara's nuts the mother****er couldn't beat goddamn Canelo Alvarez, Carlos Molina or Vanes Martirosyan, he isn't beating Bernard Hopkins at any weight.

Old head Hopkins in the last decade has lost to Taylor twice, old Calzaghe, had a draw with Jean Pascal, lost to Dawson. He hasn't KO'ed anybody in a decade.

If Hopkins goes back to 160 he loses to Lara.
