Wow just wow! This just goes to show that Khan wants big fights, Mayweather did not happen, Pacquio did not happen and then he seeks out Canelo.
Khan is crazy to be taking on a guy that hits much hard and is much bigger than anyone else he has fight. Just hard to believe this. It does not go beyond 2 rounds.

He will loose. However, there is no ready made excuse when Khan gets humiliated, which is very likely. In fact, people will mock and laugh at his stupidity.

Another reason, fighter A 'defends' his title against one tomato can after another, has only 1 respectable name in 30+ fights and is a virtual unknown outside his country, and therefore does nothing to advance another fighters career.
Any respectable fighter will choose Fighter B.

I dont understand why you are all still slagging Khan off, he has gonads the size of mountains.

He is stepping up two weight categories to fight who many boxing experts argue is the heir to Mayweather's throne and yet he is still apparently ducking Brook, the golden boy who beat Matthew Hatton.

Never particularly liked Khan but **** me I take my hat off to him for taking this fight, he's taken arguably the biggest name in the sport right now and not only that is going up in weight to go and get him.

I think Khan could lose and lose badly but fair ****ing play to him for taking it

I credit Khan for taking the fight but it is basically win-win. If he wins it’s one of the greatest victories by a British fighter of all time. Even if he loses badly it will be presented as an act of incredible bravery going up two divisions (Really only one) to fight a formidable opponent.

I don’t think he is ducking Brook but he is avoiding risking his reputation. He is basically taking a fight that can only improve his reputation. In many ways it is a very smart move but I won’t give him credit purely for taking the fight. He has to perform credibly in it.

Having said that I really hope he wins. It would be a great achievement.

But it is a incredible display of bravery, he is going up two weights to fight a BIG middleweight, who will be coming to the ring as a light-heayweight, he is putting his career on the line.

Will Khan be getting more for this fight than he would for the Brook fight?

I agree it is clearly brave. I personally would of preferred Garcia or Brook as i like fights to be as close to 50-50 as possible. If Khan loses heavily to Alvarez what has he proven.

As a fan I don't think this is necessary to prove Khan is not a world class middleweight.

I would rather find out if he is the top welterweight in the world. Something he had opportunity to prove in the next 12 months.

The Brook fight is big in the UK, the Alverez fight is big worldwide.

Fair play to Amir Khan, not that he gives a single **** what the likes of you and me think about him but I've praised and criticised him over the years - but he deserves a lot of credit for pulling this off.

Good to see a British fighter chasing and landing big fights against the best in the world.

I don't think he's scared of Brook one bit, but I do think the idea of possibly losing to Brook whilst giving him his biggest pay day freaks him.

But that said, Amir Khan is now fighting one of the biggest names in world boxing for big money whilst Brook is fighting Jo Jo Dan's left overs.

Another convenient 4th pastry for a "mandatory" while calling Khan out instead of making a name for himself.
