A JMW won a MW Title vs a JMW at JMW, and your mad at what? That the dude who's never fought at it vs a MW isn't fighting a MW or that Title is being fought under 160
I agree with the second the later though is just hating. The dude never really moved from JMW in the first place.

Really, ya'll really shouldn't worry so much about GiGi not being able to unify by beating a blown up WW.
The WWs will soon achieve their goals and very likely vacate the WBC MW belt once they've used it up, or perhaps Canelo will eventually move into being a full MW and then challenge for undisputed.
Golovkin has been on idle mode for 8 long years and in that time the division has died from lack of public interest. Aftre waiting 8 years, why whine about another 8-12 months?

What the WWs are doing is actually both beneficial to themselves, as well as shining the spot light unto the MW division, so when the real MW unification does happen, it should be a much bigger event than it would have been had the WWs not re-energized the division.

It will all work out in the end, but in the meantime, WWs dominate the MW division simply because the MWs aren't capable of ddoing so.

I'm actually starting to warm up to this fight. I think it will be better than most people think.

Well yes, it is in fact quite difficult for a MW to capture the title if none get that chance.

Using that logic, black heavyweights simply weren't capable of winning the championship while Sullivan, Dempsey, and Jack Johnson were champions, either.

Then he shouldn't be defending the title if he doesn't want to defend against middleweights. He should move back down to 154 instead of avoiding the fighters in the division that he has a strap in. I'm not mad that he won the title. I'm annoyed because he's not defending or unifying against ANY middleweights, who are more deserving, but rather fighting an undeserving welterweight that is not only NOT a welter champion, but hasn't ever even contended at 154. Cotto deserved his shot at 160 be caused he had been a 154 strap holder. And he beat a legitimate 160 pound champ in Martinez. Canelo deserved his shot at 160 because he was a 154 pound champ. Do you believe Khan deserves this shot?

I personally don't mind seeing Khan get KO'd again so it's cool in my book. As far as deserving MW really sucks and thanks to Cotto Canelo was able to win at MW Title at JMW.

I'd probably make a bigger deal about it if Canelo was actively campaigning at MW and not fighting MWs, but a JMW fighting a WW is no big deal to me. The title being in the line sucks but is a technicality.

Please don't regress to simple minded and bring race into the sad state of the current MW division.
Instead, ask yourself why the world, black, white and other, is happy to rid of Vlad and it will very likely be the same feeling when Little g is gotten.

Interesting you say a JMW because Canelo has been proudly declaring himself the Middleweight champion since he won the title.

"As the middleweight champion of the world, I will take on the best fighters in the sport, and on Cinco de Mayo weekend, I look forward to making the first defense of my titles." - Canelo

I mean technically he is champ that can't be disputed, and for some reasons there are people high on Khan that believe he's being ducked lol so it's not like he lied.

I'm not big on Khan at all but I'll watch him get beat down by Alvarez so I'm interested. As far as matchup there are Better WWs/JMWs/MWs than Khan to pick from but let's not act like Khan is not better than guys like Wade or Rosado.

For a soft touch there are worse fights to take/make, Poole are up in arms about him not fighting a MW, like I said when has Canelo fought at or vs a MW in general?

When you watch Alvarez-Lara,Kirkland or whatever at no point is it called or considered a MW fight, and according to everybody Cotto wasn't a MW anyway, the only real complaint is a 160 title being on the line which is justified and understandable.

Canelo vs Khan literally represents everything that's been bad about boxing.
