Also saying that making 147 has not been easy for Khan.. :think Also saying they dont mind giving away 10lbs or 12lbs on fight night to Canelo. I predict Khan will be 165lbs on fight night Canelo 175lbs-177lbs.. Bearing in mind those who will say Khan will lose his speed at 165lbs, vs Collazo Khan came into the ring at 162lbs go watch the fight Khan was super fast..
anyone who has watched khan/looks at khan...knows he has the size and frame to put some weight on and still be as good as he was.......what he can do against a guy like canelo? i dunno
Khan has a big back and small everything else. Virgil Hunter is smooth talker, he said the same **** about Andre Berto fighting Floyd. Just look at Algieri vs Khan and watch him take all those straight right hands. The weight will slow him down. Khan will be a blown up LWW.
Problem for Canelo is that if he too much bigger than Khan on the night, Khan will be too fast and too fast with his feet too, and if Canelo closes the range Khan will tie up and wait for the ref to reset just like vs Floyd..
Exactly what I was saying the other day Khan needs to come in light and maintain the speed advantage in foot speed and hand speed. If he comes in 160+ he will be slow and have stamina issues.
Against Collazo, Klan looked bulked up, and now he's probably even bigger. Khan's father said early that Hunter had been bulking Khan up and that weight difference wouldn't be important. Khan's father really trusts Hunter with his son's life.
Different styles. Algieri was tagging Khan from the distance with long overhands. Was a bit tough for Khan that fight, but Canelo doesn't bring pressure like Algieri did. Algieri also had the height and reach advantage. Canelo doesn't have either. Plus, Algieri can go all 12 rounds pretty hard. Canelo needs breaks. I think Khan and Canelo match up well. I think Khan does better than people think.
Virgil is the kind of guy that would talk up his bedroom game with a 3 inch member. I don't take anything he says seriously
That statement there is the true key to victory for Khan. Canelo is a gas bag at 25. Khan needs to keep his stamina into the late rounds if he makes it.
Khan is shot. His prime in the pro ranks was at 140 in 2011 when he hydrated back up to 150 pounds. He has to be legitimately hurting and taking good shots off talented 154-160 pound fighters in sparring to have a chance against Canelo. Not Angulo...
