Here's the catch Lemieux wouldn't stand there like he did with GGG, Canelo has little power at 155 at 160 he'll have none. It doesn't matter how skilled someone is, if there's a mad dog in front of them that doesn't fear their power they are in trouble, just ask Amir Imam.
Pretending to be what? That's the thing with you GGG fans, the Title is cool and all but hiding behind it has brought us such great matchups like GGG-Monore, and soon to be GGG-Wade. Canelo-Cotto was a big fight regardless of a title. Now I personally don't consider Khan a top fighter but for some reason a lot of people do so Khan moving up 1 division for an interesting fight is cool with me. Khan is a better opponent than most MW are fighting including GGG.
Maidana had nothing to fear from PBF and Maidana was a mad dog in both fights and still got beat and outboxed. Canelo has much better boxing skills than you're giving him credit for. Lemieux is a C class fighter he's not good he has power some speed and heart that's basically it. That's not good enough to beat a world class fighter like Canelo.
Maidana is around the same level as Lemieux skill wise and the first time around he arguably fought the best fighter on the planet to a draw. Canelo is no Floyd Mayweather and Lemieux hits waaaaaaaaaay harder and is more accurate than Maidana.
Yes, if we are talking about the same Canelo who lost almost every round to Mayweather and the same Canelo who couldn't hurt Matthew Hatten and was BADLY hurt by Cotto's little brother. Fighters do get better. Lemieux is a true middleweight puncher and Canelo doesn't have the skill and power of GGG.
When did Canelo turn into Sweet P? I never seen Canelo out box anyone, pressure is not outboxing, either is winning split decisions or getting gifts from the judges.
You can say whatever you want about Lemieux but at least he had the ***** to call GGG out and sign the contract. How many fighters keep calling other guys out for the show but when it is time to sign the contract, you hear nothing from them. Isn't what most of us are tired of and complaining about boxing?
