why is it funny? i fail to see the irony or humor in that? theres a difference...at the time ward had just finished at tournament in which he wasnt the favorite...with some tough fighters......bute sat around and beat up rubbish..... are you trying to compare it to a ward/ggg situation? you would probably say well "ggg has been fighting and ward has been doing nothing"?....not exactly the same.....bute at the time hadnt proven much against anything....ward is proven and in the top 5 of p4p lists currently......so his inactivity or lack of action the last 2 years means little because he is who he is
Yes I am, Bute was a SMW champion yet he had to "earn" his shot apparently for a unficiation fight, GGG is a smaller man from a lower weight class with no belt so to speak and Ward is very happily willing to fight him anytime when his level of opposition isn't all that much greater and he has no belt or any accolades at Ward's weightclass. The whole he had to earn his shot thing looks like an excuse now.
you are comparing 2011 bute/ward...to current ward/ggg...and that cant be done...because they are different....and if you cant see that you are dumb ward was fighting top level comp in the super 6...bute was sitting back and fighting nobody......now imagine for a minute that bute had 1 fight in that time period of the super 6....and it was against paul smith? would bute rate on anyones p4p list? the answer is a definitive "NO" now lets take current andre ward...one fight in 2 years against paul smith....and hes number 4 on rings lists...6 on espn....why? because he has a reputation....that he has earned!!! thats the obvious difference if you think old bute/ward situation is similar to current ward/ggg situation you are a dolt i know you mean well..and you try hard cafe....but dont be completely stupid.....ward has a reputation that hes earned despite what hes not done the last 2 years....bute never had that...other than being hyped as something...he hadnt proven anything special at anytime prior to that

I hope he does finally fight Kovalev and gets starched. I'm honestly getting tired of his bs everytime there's a fight, he only wants to fight in Oakland, my mangers an *******, I signed with ROC and they haven't done ****. I think he's a talented fighter but his career has been a total waste the last few years and there's plenty of people he could have fought to stay active but chose not to. He's to inactive and to arrogant and I'll be glad to see Kovalev shut him up.

Before the Super Six final Ward had said on camera that the winner should fight Bute to really seal the deal on who is the 168 king. But he didn't for some reason. Its on video somewhere. It was during a presser for the Ward vs Froch fight.
