Who will you be rooting for? Saul Alvarez or Amir Iqbal Khan?

I love trolling about some Brit boxers, Khan included, but to have him as the...ahem...lineal MW champ is a bit much even for me.

Even so, I voted to see him win, just to see him offer Brook a 98/2 split at a Wembley show. If Khan did win, Brook would have to beat a SMW for Khan to give him credit...ha ha

 

I was being sarcastic. Basically I was alluding to all the hate Canelo is getting, and some of it for the reason you mentioned.

 

Alvarez all day Khan needs a good whopping to knock some sense into him.

 

I'm a fan of both, but also a fan of GGG, so my enthusiasm for Canelo has waned some.

I think Khan was short-changed twice by Floyd and I'm glad he has landed what should be a consolation payday.

He is the better boxer of the two, but I think Canelo's power and chin will win out. It'll be the first big fight in a while where I'll just be watching for the action and not leaning towards either fighter.

 

I'm also a fan of all three which might be the reason I see a silver lining to this fight.

 

Do the bum Canelo, shatter that glass jaw and retire the flid for good.

I usually have that attitude with fights, just wanting to see a good fight. Most of the time I root for one fighter based in the potential matchups a victory by that fighter would create and increase the chances of. For instance, the only time I rooted for Lewis was the first Rahman fight because I wanted to see Lewis-Tyson. Of course, Lewis lost LOL

 

Canelo has taken a while to grow on me but i do think hes a very good world class fighter with great punch economy and counter punching with decent power though not a big puncher but i wish hed fight GGG and stop with the im not a true middleweight yet. I also enjoy khans fight but he will have to have the performance of his life and canelo an off night to win. Canelo by late stoppage imo
I do wonder if canelo goes all out in the first four rounds knowing of khans vulnerable chin but if he doesnt get the ko and with his poor engine it may get interesting.

 

I want Canelo the ducker to lose.
