Solid contenders, best available challengers. Not what I'd call "tomato cans".

It was definitely close. It's that fight that made me realise that Crawford isn't the star people are saying he is.

A war-torn, past prime Burns. Is Crawford learning from Mayweather?

It's his 3rd fight at LWW, it's so puzzling how people had no problem with Pac fighting Crawford, but they at the same time hated on the idea of Khan fighting him.

 But Crawford actually fought outside his home country. Granted it was against a past it opponent who had got his ass paddled in his previous 2 fights though. :D

Yup, Pac is on a different level to TC. Everyone thinks he is the new Thomas Hearns simply because his face looks like Thomas Hearns lol.

Mayweather has set the bar so high, we may never see another boxer in our lifetime attain that bar...bar of cowardice.

 The man is a true bum killer. A bum don't stand a chance.. That's not saying that the man can't fight because he can. It's just that his handlers are trying to build him into something that he can never be and that is another mega money man like Mayweather. There can be only one in a lifetime. Canelo will never reach that status either, no matter how hard Oscar tries.

He won't be Mayweather big, but Canelo draws in massive ratings in Mexico along with his PPV success here.

All of the purses you see listed for him for the Floyd, Cotto, etc. fights, don't include the money Mexican TV (as of now, it's TV Azteca) pays to broadcast his fights. And that's big business.

Let's just take the Kirkland fight, for example: that drew 19 million views in Mexico, good for a 15.6 share. Cotto-Canelo drew 23 million. That was the 2nd highest viewed broadcast in Mexico.

Alvarez only signs on for a handful of fights at a time, so it's not like he's locked into a long term, below market rate. It also means he's up for a bidding war every few fights between TV Azteca and Televisa. In fact, his latest contract ends with Amir Khan.
