Really? I actually thought the exact opposite, based on the interviews & press conferences I have seen.

Frampton definitely had the edge when it came to vocal support from fans at the press conference's. I don't know if that will effect either fighter on the night though.

Frampton thinks he's already won because he has more fans. If they had the premier league in Ireland nobody would care about him it's only cos there's nothing to do there

I still can't make my mind up who I think will win this, I was always very much under the impression that it will be Frampton but I've watched his last fight back a couple of times, if he comes out even remotely how he did in that fight he'll be blasted out, Quigg will want a war as I truly believe he thinks he can beat him if they go toe to toe, as someone above said, there's to much emotion in this fight for them not to have a war even if it's only for a round.

If Scott has softened him up by then he could take him out, if he hasn't Frampton could make Quigg look very ordinary even when they drop their hands and go at it

i think Quiggs kickboxing background is what makes him so stiff and upright and he needs to be a lot more fluid against frampton...

i honestly have a bad feeling its going to a quiet fight, frampton pick him off and out box him on the back foot... it will be one for the puresists and the casuals wont be pleased!!

I think Frampton is going to make this a bit of an anti climax and out box Quigg comprehensively.

Scott has to impose himself to have any chance and I'm 100% sure he'll give it his all but I think Frampton is just going to be too smart for him.

I don't understand why people suddenly think frampton can box like rigo. In his first Kiko fight all the rounds were really close and Kiko isn't a great technical fighter. Frampton is a good all round boxer but he's not the god like fighter he's made out to be

Spot on, and some are forgetting how easily Kiko found the target.

I certainly don't underestimate Framptons technical ability, but he looked shaky at times in the first Kiko fight, and prior to the stoppage was eating plenty of big shots.

Frampton always eats plenty of shots his defence is average. He just usually takes them well until his last fight something was defo off that night. I keep hearing he has the edge on the speed department but I don't see that either

I dont understand how you get the impression people ARE saying that about Framptons skills. What I see people saying is that Frampton is a better boxer than Quigg - thats all. No more than the plain truth. Whats your problem with facing facts?

I don't think many would argue that Carl is the more polished of the two when comparing textbook boxing skills, but as Sharpy has pointed out, he's not the faultless technician that some make him out to be.

Carl has fast hands, fast feet, decent jab, puts some good counters together, and has enough pop to keep most honest, but his defence is no better than average, and against Kiko his defensive limitations were exposed, and but for his stout chin he could have come unstuck in the first fight.

Against Gonzalez, who lets be honest was then and remains now an unproven nobody, Carl could of had his World turned upside down, and don't be taken in by the rubbish his trainer and manager were spewing about thick canvas and weight issues, Carl started to believe his own hype and totally underestimated his opponent, thats why he was put on his rear twice. Hilarious that his trainer remarked about Quigg being " dropped by a jab " against Arthur, and yet he completely missed the irony of his comment, when you consider thatFrampton was dropped by a jab against Gonzalez ?

I wouldn't rule out any result in this fight, and i honestly would not be surprised by any winner, or the method and/or manner of the victory.

Far too much being made of the Belfast support, and Framptons supposed Irishness for me.

Framptons a Brit, and a proud one too, if his comments about his MBE are to be believed.

Frampton knows as well as any fighter, that the crowd can't help you once the timekeeper rings the bell.

Best of luck to both of them.

For me, Frampton has fought better fighters then Quigg. I remember Quigg fighting the Japanese fighter and he hit him time and time again and didn't even dent him (hit him with some really good body shots too!). The salinas draw also.

Kiko was his one (very good) result at a good level, other then that he has faced fighters much smaller then himself.

I understand people saying Frampton isn't the godly fighter he is made out to be.

However Quigg also isn't this devastating puncher he's made out to be, yes he stopped Kiko but he didn't one shot KO him, he threw a shedload of punches after the uppercut don't forget. Didn't stop or drop Salinas or the Japanese fighter.

For me, I'm looking forward to seeing how Quigg copes when HE is getting punched hard from a world-class fighter. I just have a feeling that he doesn't take a punch too well. He also doesn't have the greatest defence, so it's going to be interesting.

Carl has fought one World Class fighter, and that was Kiko, the same Kiko who lost twice to Munroe, the same Munroe who got a questionable draw against Quigg, and then had the ribs punched out of him in the rematch.

I'm getting tired of hearing this " real champion " pish.

Frampton beat an average opponent in Kiko to win the belt, the same Kiko who caught Hasegawa on the slide to win the belt in the first place.

I don't read much into common opponents, but Quigg obliterated Kiko in 4 minutes, Frampton had 21 hard rounds, and was rattled numerous times in the first fight.

Besides Kiko, which big names does Frampton have on his resume ?

You can argue the side for either but the fact is neither really has a better resume than the other. The jap came to survive. You could say the same for frampton against hirales. For me frampton impressed me most against Avalos. Other than that he has done as expected or slightly disappointed if I'm honest. It's hard to huge quigg recent fights as they've all be over quickly.i do think he hits harder than frampton but that alone won't win him the fight

The Quigg-Munroe draw wasn't questionable, it was due to a cut from an accidental clash of heads and was a TD given was within 4 rounds.
Kiko won the belt against Jhonatan Romero on undercard of Barker-Geale. Hasegawa was his second defence. The first was in Spain against Mathebula
