Roy himself said he would not look to be facing the best super HW's out there. He was only looking to cherry pick a strap holder and then move right back down again- eg, Ruiz

So the Jones that fought Ruiz, IF that Jones were on Roids, how would he fare against Lewis??

How about just the Jones that fought Ruiz vs Lewis? That’s a great poll but to ask how a roided Jones would have fared vs Lewis? It’s a fantasy question because we never know how Roy would have looked on roids since Roy was a naturally gifted athlete and never needed to take shortcuts to stay in shape. Yes we heard about him using Ripped Fuel which was available at GNC and was not banned. That doesn’t equal roids or even PEDs as they are known today. (banned substances)

Jones Lewis would have been a Mega Fight, in retrospect I think Roy should have stayed at Heavyweight for at least one more fight. Yes that may have prevented him from going back to Lt Heavyweight and recapturing the Lt Heavyweight Title, which was impressive, but that set his career on a collision course to getting KO’d.

Had he stayed at Heavyweight, he might have been able to out point Lewis which would have elevated him to even greater heights. It’s really a fight that could have been massive.

You can't be serious. Lewis would have been too big, strong, rangy, and tall for RJJ.

RJJ couldn't even make 200 lbs for the Ruiz fight. Lewis would have outweighed him by 40-50 lbs.

 

I followed this at the time, as a fan of Roy.

Only chance RJJ would have had was to stick and move for 12 rounds hoping LL couldn't tag him or get him in a corner as it would have been game over very quickly..
