It's not just about money, it's also about glory. Earning a medal in Olympics means a lot to people who spent virtually two decades in the amateurs.

All of his opponents during the Olympics were older than him other than Dirrell who was 1. not in his teens 2. just one year younger than him.

Past prime, tiny framed Gamboa < Martin Murray

Gamboa was a truly amazing fighter during his featherweight days. But he was up against a fighter who is of welterweight size, and as big as a welterweight is during fight night.

 there is still truth to it tbh think about it. Can you believe people were saying he was more worthy of a shot for Pacquiao than Amir Khan?

Terence Crawford is in people's P4P list, too btw.
Golovkin beat a huge middleweight in Murray (who beat Sturm and Martinez). That deserves credit, as does his 19 or something straight KO's, whilst looking so dominant, against everyone.

Very well put. People now shouldn't doubt that Crawford is a notorious weight cutter.
GGG on the other hand only weighs 170lbs on fight night.

Me stating 'tomato can' and 'bum' is really just rhetoric. On a personal level, no fighter is a 'can' or 'bum'.

...but right now in this thread, they are bums and cans :yep

Crawford could not compete at ww, not now and not ever. Hell, he can't compete with the top kww's. I have at least the top real 3 beating him bad. Probably 5-10 that do beat him. There's a reason arum only let's certain lower level fighters get the chance

    I'm...floored...by that comparison. :D

And you are not so unique in posting so as to not invite comparison to other posters, Gaul. Same goes for just about anyone else who posts here.

Same goes for Broner when he was killing himself to get down in weight and then putting on 15-20lbs after the weigh in so he could beat up on munchkins, pygmies, and leprechauns. As soon as he started picking on people his own size he wasn't quite the monster his hype merchants made him out to be.

Solid indeed. Which is why he's yet again exploding into the arena in his next fight as a 1/150 favorite.
