They are really entertaining the idea of him draining down to fight Golovkin and for what?
To prove that he isn't a coward or some stupid **** like that? He really wants the spotlight like Amir Khan wanted it and Oscar is signing "Death Certificates" just to stay afloat in boxing.

When ever something goes well at GBP Oscar does not credit Hopkins at all no matter how much we've seen Hopkins out talking up and promoting the fights and most importantly, in attendance. Bernard is a legend in the ring, but on the outside he is in no more power than he was when he was with Don King.

Things are out of control at Golden Boy Promotions.:verysad

Drained down? Bhop was always saying he wants to have his last fight at 168 and that's where the GGG fight will happen, if it ever does. It'd be a bigger fight than fighting any of the 168 champs. I don't suppose offering Bhop the biggest fight at his preferred weight is some sort of disrespect to him. A top shape Bhop can cause a lot of troubles to GGG at 168.

Man please. Bernard had his last fight in 2014 and it was nearly a knockout loss in the 1st round. The only reason it lasted was because Kovalev took it easy on him and decided to box him.

This is a crock of turd flying at GBP. No credit for either one of these guys for this.

The violent plague that Haymon and Shaeffer blasted Golden Boy with will be felt for years to come. Worse than the Ebola.

Oscar doesn't have the heart to admit defeat when we all know whats happening over there. He made a bad decision putting Davids belt on the line against Golovkin without giving him a chance to defend his title once.

If Oscar was really smart he would have had Canelo fight David for his title after Cotto and Alvarez would have 2 titles and a fleet of bums to defend them against. Instead he sacrificed a Bishop to a pawn whose promoters are naïve and clueless.

It seems everytime GBP gets into a jam, financial or Legal, it's always BHOP who bails them out.
Something tells me that BHOP is no longer a mere VP at GBP but has increased his stalk in the company significantly. Perhaps to 50/50 partner level.

But make no mistake, if this fight happens it will be because it is Hopkins' idea and decision. ODLH can't tell BHOP what to do. I think it may be the other way around. Hopkins has stuck with ODLH through thick and thin when he clearly had other options.

Oscar's bad decision was when he went on a Coke binge and let Shaefer in charge and signed every fighter over to Haymon. Should have been minding the store. Oscar was left with Canelo and Mattysee.

Maybe he bought out Shane Mosley's share in the company? But that was miniscule. Don't know.

its obvious from context, i just figured he would try to explain it off as a typo, and look even more clueless.

 That was a long time ago and as you said, a very small stake.

BHOP has been a major part of GBP ever since ODLH had those photos released by the Russian mob.
It's pretty safe to say that had it not been for BHOP, GBP might not be in business today. He fought Kovalev to make that Duva lawsuit disappear and he is the one providing GBP credibility ever since Schaefer departed.

I'm sure that Hopkins has much more than the tiny Mosley stake, and much more than the 10% he had as VP of East Coast Operations 10 years ago.
