People have to be realistic. Exactly how long do you think that BHOP can continue fighting at the highest level, 51, 55, 60, 90?

Anyone who's followed BHOP's career knows he is just a fraction of his former self.

What he has accomplish is amazing and in the record books multiple times.
Personally, I'd like to see BHOP take a Golovkin type opponent, a soft touch, as his final goodbye match and take an easy win for his last fight.

Lord knows if anyone deserves it, it's living legend Bernard Hopkins.

yeah just saw that, but whatever people said Golovkin ducked B-hop when he was called out almost a year ago and now those same trolls will probably say "b-hop is way past his prime and a bum"

Hopkins would have the cojones to fight but I cannot see him making 168 again. He be a harder fight than Ward that's for sure

Only way I would want to see this fight is by giving Hopkins a chance by not having him kill himself to make weight.
GBP should negotiate the fight at a minimum of 170.

GoI'd fight. Hopkins is still elite, despite his age. What weight though?

Why do people keep saying GGG wants ANYONE at 155? And how is calling out the champion of your weightclass calling out a smaller guy? If Canelo isnt considered a middleweight, than he should vacate. Simple.

There is a missing difference between a Eunuch and a punk, but yes, that's Loeffler. He reminds me of Morris Fishbein, a former circus clown Eunuch con-man. :yep

you're talking to damaged people. Can you expect rationality from the crowd that calls a game where you carry an egg shaped object in your hands "football"?

I don't see the point of this. Hopkins should be mowing his lawn, not fighting killers like Golovkin. What he's done is great, but retire already.

If the fight does happen it would have to be at 168lbs or around that area. Hopkins came in at 179lbs against Kovalev which means making middleweight now would leave him massively drained and I can't see them offering Hopkins enough to drain himself like that.

As for the fight you can't rule Hopkins out even though he is clearly been in a steeper decline in recent years. He has the style to deal with Golovkin, he won't have to deal with much movement as GGG will come right at him and he won't get beaten to the punch as Golovkin isn't that quick.

But I'd have Golovkin as favourite. Hopkins is 51, yes he has aged well but the signs of deterioration are evident. He's slower than he was in the Pascal fights and he's coming in lighter in weight which is a sign of muscle wasting away with age. Also we've seen fighters who have dropped down struggle and this combined with BHops age is a lot to ask.

:think Well if Hopkins' fans think that Golovkin is a soft touch then maybe they should make the fight?

Fans don't have a dam thing to do with it.
If BHOP wants to fight this, killer , then that is what will be.
