Porter is one of the top badasses in the world. He wants to fight the best and gives it his all. He ducks no one. Is eager to fight the best young prime fighters out there. He just doesn't have the skill, power, speed and stamina to be great. I hope he proves me wrong and destroys Thurman and destroys Brook in a rematch. But I just don't think he has enough.
I agree with the OP. Porter always seemed to my a mini-version of Jean Pascal with those wide and wild punches he throws. I have Thurman winning this fight by UD.
I'm actually picking Porter, Porter just brings insane amount of pressure and I don't see Thurman handling it. It's an amazing fight though, been waiting forever for it. Need more of this in boxing.
Porter is easily a top 5 welter. He has a decent chance at beating Thurman, more than pretty much everyone else in the division except Brook. I'm not necessarily saying he will beat Thurman as it's extremely difficult to get the decision vs an undefeated champ. He'd need to win 8 rounds or more to get the decision but he has a chance nevertheless and that's what makes this match up very very intriguing.
Nobody that's seen ww in decades could beat spence. He would tear Thurman, porter, beadley, pac and brook in a full work week. A fight a day money thru fri, only one that might possibly with a very minute chance of seeing the 11th and 12th rounds would be brook. But, agreed porter could possibly be #5 but idk, if broner went after him from the start he could whooped that stamina lacking brawler. Idk if he beats algieri with jdj, I'm all honesty. Algieri a completely different fighter with a real trainer. See having a legit trainer is supposed to help people not all but ruin them like the most over rated person in sports, Freddie (the joke) roachbug
