Canelo is slow on his feet and he's not a big risk taker and he'd have to be to close the distance between he and Martinez. At this point I'd have to go with Martinez by clear but competitive decision. Martinez wouldn't find the mark so easily on Canelo either.
the whole martinez injury fan talk is way worse than it actually was. martinez himself said after the cotto fight, that he didn`t lost because of his knee. yes his knee was injured but he wasn`t a cripple. he "lost" because cotto and murray were just the better fighters and thats it. it fits just very good in a fans mind if somebody lose, so the fan can say:" ohhh he wasn`t himself bablalbla" all that martinez worshiping only exists because a couple of people don`t want to praise golovkin although golovkin would have KO`d martinez at any day of the week.
Yeah that's why he went to several doctors and all of them said your knee is shot to s*** and he retired. Give me a ****ing break, all the Martinez worshipping is because he was a great ****ing fighter and HAS 0 TO DO WITH ****ING GOLOVKIN who I happen to be a big fan of.
what several doctors said doesnt matter, the only things that matter are martinez own quotes about his loss/injury not serveral doctors who nobody saw and heard.after questionable performances his knee was never a real topic. only hardcore fans defended him with that type of excuse. martinez himself never brought it up.
Have you ever heard of lying?atsch God you're either in total denial or gullible as a mother****er or blind.
can can type what you want. the martinez situation doesn`change. he wasn`t that good like people made him with their mouths.
if thats the case that people hate a pro-boxer because they don`t like his followers, it`s a clear statement about the very little intelligence of this guys. it`s like people would reject to eat hot dogs because other people said that hot dogs are delicious. if a brainless fighter acts stupid and his brainless fanbase defend their hero although the situation is clear, then you can hate a fighter.
if the canelo of today fought martinez in his prime it would have been an awesome fight, canelos fundamentals and IQ are far better then martinez but martinez had a better work rate and hit harder, I think id go for canelo to control the earlier rounds and do enough to pull a SD, martinez struggled with fighters who were accurate and had strong balanced footwork
Sergio would paddle his freckled ginger ass and steal his girlfriend and his legion of female admirers.
It would be more like if every time you talked to your friend about anything even remotely food related he would talk about hotdogs for 90 minutes straight and refuse to entertain the idea that anything other than hotdogs exist. So after a few conversations like this, yeah, you might hate hotdogs by association. That said I think Golovkin takes prime Sergio in a competitive fight by SD/UD. But prime Sergio beat Canelo the same way.
