Kovalev Vs. Ward (if Ward don't duck)
Golovkin Vs. Canelo (if Canelo don't duck)

These 2 aren't the BEST fights, but I would be very turned on to see Ward and Canelo both get KO'd.

    :hey

The BEST fight that has a REALISTIC CHANCE of happening is Gonzalez-Estrada II.

Kovalev-Ward, which is inexplicably absent from selection.

was just going to say the same thing, I came in looking for it,,,

Kov-Stevenson would be second for me and

Wilder-Fury for the heavys would be another interesting one to find out exactly what is what,,,

GGG and Canelo and a few others after that :good

It's not a fan friendly fight. And Kovalev is the big favourite here.

Ward is like the fusion of Wladimir and Floyd. In terms of boringness though, not greatness. He lacks the punching power of Wlad and the defense and reflexes of Floyd. He just clings, gives headbutts and fights very boring.

People want to see that fight mostly due to the trolling by some users. They want to see Ward get knocked out or they want to see Kovale outboxed. Fan friendly is this fight not though, because Ward is involved. It would be similar to the Hopkins fight, just that he can't take the punches as good as B-Hop.

I can't imagine that Kovalev vs. Ward is as big as Kovalev vs. Stevenson or Beterbiev. Everyone remembers Stevenson vs. Fonfara, or Kovalev vs. Pascal 1 in terms of excitement. Who remembers a fight of Ward?

That's the reason I didn't list him. He should show in his next fight if he's worth being mentioned. Right now, he's irrelevant.

    oh come on :nut

Ward vs Kov is a huge potential fight that could take one of them to the next level depending on the outcome.

Ward has much better chance against Kovalev than Canelo has against GGG. And I don't see Kovalev-Stevenson being more competitive than Kovalev-Pascal I.

But from the options on the poll, Lomachenko-Rigondeaux. The winner of that fight should be considered the most skilled active boxer in the world.

I think that's the fight that produces a true heir to Floyd's vacant P4P throne. Whoever wins that fight - Kovalev or Ward - is the true P4P king in my eyes, and I honestly believe a plurality of observers would be in agreement with that.

    I agree with this.

    I see Kovalev-Ward as something like 60/40-65/35.

I see Golovkin-Canelo as something more like a 92/8-98/2 proposition.

The thing about Kovalev-Stevenson, is I always assumed it would probably end quickly. I can't see either guy eating too many big shots from the other. I think Kovalev is a better boxer with much better punch resistance and foot positioning, so I'd favor Kovalev comfortably myself. But if Stevenson did land that one big shot early (in a Lewis-Golota sense) and if Kovalev's punch resistance is worse than I'm reckoning, I could see Stevenson winning. But I don't think it's likely.

I never believed Pascal could beat Kovalev before their first fight, and I was even more convinced of that entering their rematch.

    Ward needs to actually fight.

I'm not sure he really wants any of Kovalev.
