Im not sure if AJ is ready but if he isnt and takes this fight and loses so what. A loss is never really as damaging as people say its guna be. Hell even an embarrasing early KO. Look at Khan and that night against Prescott. Amir still has fought for and won world titles after that horrendous loss.

But if he is half the boss he is meant to become he shouldnt struggle badly against Martin at this stage of his career. Hope it happens.

British promoters throwing names in the air? It was Martin that called Joshua out! Do your research before making such a comment.

Can Martin punch back? If so Glass Jawed AJ isn't going to fight him.

Beating Martin isn't the issue. It's afterwards when the calls for fighting Ortiz and Wilder start coming up. He better not duck or he'll get some of the same coming at him.

Martin has never been in with a puncher, are you presuming he has an iron chin until he gets rocked or dropped then he too will have a "glass jaw"?

AJ has intimated in interviews that it's still too soon for a title shot. He appears to want Chisora, Stiverne, or Takam as his next opponent. Somebody about the size of Whyte but with more experience and credibility.

On the other hand he said he would take the fight with Martin if offered, but by that he might mean "if the fight is in the UK and I get most of the pot".

Personally I would have AJ as a big favorite against anybody except Ortiz, Pulev, Povetkin, K2, and Fury. Frankly, I'd give him a good chance of winning against these opponents as well.

Martin is untested so it's hard to gauge how good he is (particularly his chin is a big ?), but AJ should be at least a 70/30 betting favorite if the fight happens. Martin looks best when beating down smaller dudes and more vulnerable against mobile guys with long reach. AJ seems to have too much reach, mobility, and dynamite for Martin's limited skills....the fight vrs. Martin could end up being Cornish all over again. And this is coming from someone who rates Martin and who has him as a slight favorite vrs. Wilder.

Martin's record is loaded with unknown
    Swamp People and Homeless Pan-Handlers
that fall down from grazing shots...

:huh Martin may crumble from one shot
from Joshua, Kong, or even BurgerBoy!!!

the verdict is out until he fights a live
    heavyweight... Kong... Takam... Perez...
and see If his power saves him or if it
only works on the Cab Drivers!

AJ certainly isn't phenomenal, but he does have the STYLE to beat Martin. It's a good fight, I hope it get's made.
