Hearn is trying to make the fight, if anyone is going to pass on it, it will be Martin

AJ would brutalize Martin. The business side of boxing requires the fight to happen in UK. Makes multiple times money for both fighters. That's the obstacle, since Martin would have to fight in UK.

Name one time EVER in the HISTORY OF BOXING when a fighter asked for THREE REMATCH CLAUSES?

Do you even know what a rematch clause is?

If you lose, you have the option of getting either an immediate rematch or a rematch after your conqueror engages in one optional bout.

Or, you can decide not to exercise it, which means the rematch clause is voided.

And, if you went through boxing history, most guys who ask for rematch clauses AND LOSE DON'T exercise their rematch clause. Because they don't want to get beat up again by that guy.

And if you are SERIOUSLY arguing that Joshua shouldn't take it because Martin, if Joshua pounds him into the floor, will demand THREE MORE BEATINGS ... that's insane.

And I can say that because IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED. Just like Joshua isn't suddenly going to be forced to unify against everyone. Just like Joshua isn't suddenly going to have to only fight guys who are favored to beat him. And all the other **** stated on this thread.

    Just stop.

If Joshua fights Martin and beats him, which he will if they fight, the IBF won't suddenly uncover 15 all-time greats for Joshua to meet.

If Joshua fights Martin, he'll win the title, and he won't have to fight anyone but IBF stooges for years (unless he decides on his own to fight one of the other champs). But nobody can force him to unify.

Hearnz will make up some bs that Martin outpriced himself

then go fight a stiff on ppv on front of 15,000 clueless fans

IF Hearn thinks the smart move is for Joshua to wait for another mandatory cycle ... and then fight an eliminator ... and then wait another year for the champ (whoever that is, it won't be Martin) to get around to fighting that mandatory ... like in late 2018 or early 2019 ... when Joshua is pushing 30 himself ...

Then Joshua should fire Hearn right now.

He can become a world champion in April. He can put together four or five titles defenses and earn tens of millions and actually be included in the history of heavyweight champions before 2019 rolls around.

If they didn't want the fight then they could have easily said he wasn't ready which would be accepted by most as there's not been many heavyweight title challenger who were successful with just 15 fights.

Hearns wants the fight it will just come down to money and location. Before Martin called him out they were looking to fight Takam so it's unlikely they were looking to fight a stiff in AJ's next fight, if anything they were looking to step up.

So he can fight Martin, win the title, and then fight Takam in a defense.

How would that be worse? Seriously?

Would people be less interested in Joshua-Takam if Joshua had an IBF belt? Would Joshua make less money if he was a defending heavyweight champion?

It wouldn't be worse, they should jump at the chance to fight Martin and it seems they are willing to make the fight happen but they also shouldn't just give into Martin's demands should Martin ask for a ridiculous purse or insane conditions.
