I didnt have to come up to this weight class, Ward said in a conference call on Wednesday. I didnt have to be taking these types of challenges but, at the same time, I felt like I did have to. Im a student of boxing and, throughout the years, all the greats did it. All of them. I can go down a list of 20 guys who took on that challenge and moved up in weight and became multi-divisional champions. And those are guys that I try to emulate and look up to and, man, it really inspires me. This move right here its not about money, he said of his transition to light heavyweight. Its about just wanting to be great. And I want to be great. I dont want to be a really good fighter. I want to be considered one of the guys who took on the best throughout his career throughout the ups and downs, he always challenged the best and thats what I want to be remembered for and thats what this move is all about. wow...powerful stuff some guys could learn a thing or two....about risks and challenges....we wont even mention the guys name....because it doesnt belong in the same paragraph as a warrior like ward
Ward is a warrior and his fight with Kovalev is already signed for the future. Unlike Triple bum and his quest for belts, his team can't get Canelo to commit to a burrito order let alone a fight. ****ing square chumps. Oscar is in his bra and panties laughing at Leoffler .:yep
cant wait for that ibf defense against a guy who has never had a 12 round fight! that will dwarf what ward is about to do this year!
how about you fat, out of shape, esb sweathogs...pipe down and show andre ward some damn respect......all you guys do is run your lips "oh the fight isnt signed yet...why is he stalling......oh he fights once a decade...oh hell never actually fight kovalev...hell back out watch im tellin ya"...just a bunch of lip running nonsense.....like wards supposed to get it all done in one day ungrateful jerkoffs...the whole lot of you....cant appreciate a real warrior...while you swing from the peach of a guy defending his ibf belt against a guy whos never fought in a 12 round fight before...unreal
ward isnt allowed to get some money to feed his family? he was out of action for 19 months for crying out loud.......hes not fighting bums every 3.5 months for paychecks and wasting everyones time....you should thank him
Andre Ward is a legend, he is already great IMO this move just shows what he is all about. Daring to be great is what makes legends, Floyd & Pac successfully moved up in weight and became living legends. Shane Mosley did it after conquering lightweight & Welterweight he dared to be great and moved to 154 but lost to Wright, no shame in that he is still a legend because he dared to be great.
