That doesn't make any sense. What specific quote should he be saying afterwards? The context of what he's saying would suggest these are words that would, by necessity of the specific language used, need to be said prior to moving up in weight. :smoke
Ward is already an accomplished fighter and is a hof fighter if he never fought again his resume is great. Quit with the hate the guy dared to be great when he entered the super 6 now he's once again doing it by moving up to 175 and will take on a monster in kovalev there. Yet GGG fans and ward haters can't stand the fact that he's telling it like it is Instead of getting mad with ward for telling the truth get mad at GGG for putting you in this position to have defend his every move because he hasn't dared to be great like ward and fighting no hopers like wade.
He could've been great before GGG even had a fanbase here. All he had to do was beat Bute for total 168 unification (Bute was even willing to come to Oakland), then beat Adonis Stevenson, who called him out multiple times. Bam. Total unified 168 champ, 2 weight lineal champ. Instead, he said neither man deserved the fight. I'm glad he's daring to be great now, but this could've been a done deal by 2013 before he kept suing Goossen and going all Winky Wright on things. I'll give him all the credit once he fights Kovalev, but I'm not going to jump to conclusions that we'll see it yet.
Would you at least be willing to concede that we are far more likely to see Ward-Kovalev by early 2017 than we are of seeing Canelo-GGG? :smoke
I dunno about u guys...when I read this it inspires me...to be a better son, friend, employee etc.... Win or lose ward is what this thing is all about.....this thing called life.....you miss 100 percent of the shots u don't take Guy is 31 and took 2 years off..., and he's one one year away from worst case being known as a warrior of his generation....and best case a legend ...of all times.....talk about a throwback?
He was the man at 168 when he won the super 6. Bute isn't even worth talking about. Stevenson at 168 he wasn't the fighter or the name he is now at 175. I would still love to see ward fight Stevenson down the line and I'm sure ward would be down for it.
He's saying some nonsense about wanting to be remembered and daring to be great, he hasn't done jack**** at 175 yet. He wants all the credits and compliments now for what he might achieve in the future. Typical Andre Ward, more talk less doing.
Bute sat back (his fault or not) and did the ggg bum tour ....while ward win the grueling super 6.....regardless of what ward said previously he reserves the right to change his tune on whether or not Bute deserves a crack....had Bute beaten froch then ward would have gone for it.......he wanted Bute to prove something the way he himself proved something ..... And in the end....Bute turned out to be garbage anyway ......the cream rises and is still here...., Bute is an afterthought
Who said he wants compliments and credits? He just stating his feelings on what is driving him U want him to fight Barrera tomorrow and kova Saturday? Lol.....Rome wasn't built in a day chief
Resume speaks for itself ,actions speak louder than words.. Guys like triple duck could learn a thing or two here ..
I'm not sure you really understood what it was I was saying. Your previous claim made no sense, and continues to make no sense. :smoke
