I'm impressed by quiggs confidence but I think he's trying to hard to get under Framptons skin. Gallagher has obviously mentored quigg for this interview telling quigg not to give an inch in accepting that Frampton is superior in any department.

Totally agree - Scott has improved his speaking & media skills 100% over the last year. But he is like someone in a cult. Concedes nothing - even when it is blatantly obvious he is wrong. Not a healthy outlook but its his life I suppose...

I Think Quigg hits harder than Carl (not by much mind) but that is the only way i think he trumps Carl,
Frampton is a better boxer,he is faster, more accurate and has excelled at higher levels than Quigg in both the amateur and professional game,
Only one winner in this for me,mid to late stoppage or wide points for the Belfast man,

Neither man looks comfortable outside of the ring tbh. Let them do what they do best on the 27th.

Respectfully disagree about Quigg being a harder puncher. Hard to think of areas where Quigg has the edge. Size/height /reach?? Bodypunching??? Maybe a better engine and this would also have to do with possibly Quigg being less weight-drained.

I know these are important areas but Carl for has most of the advantages here, by far.

Just watched Darren O Neil in his wsb fight,
They claim to be running this to help the amateur fighters but O Neil just took a five round beating that would have been stopped in any pro show,
The russian just teed him up at times (o neil is one tough boyo)
He picked up a very nasty cut over his eye that was blatantly obstructing his vision which on its own should have been enough to call off the beating but it was left go,
Absolutely disgusted,i am a fan of Darrens and without sounding alarmist that hiding could have a serious negative effect on hisRio qualification bid, hope im proved wrong.

For me the most significant single line in the debate was when Carl denied being ko'd in sparring as Quigg claimed. He swore to God it was not true. Now Im an athiest and would happily swear to 10 gods and lie through my teeth - but in 'Black Prod' Tigers Bay people do NOT lightly swear to God and lie - no way.
Quigg is clearly deluded and 'programmed' to believe a whole lot of nonsense probably in the guise of 'positive thinking' and 'sports psychology' etc.
But he is starting to look like someone in a cult.

so ur another free state heathen len:lol:... it seems atheism is the new opium of the people... only kidding m8... each to their own I suppose...and if that helps you fit in .... all in good... I cant be as definitive in my beliefs as to discount everything...except in my belief that the shinners are surging upwards in the polls at the moment and aul Kenny is ****ing himself... to the extent that he hasn't ruled out a coalition with his old enemy:good

Typically Irish - wishy-washy and stand for nothing!!! (Joking m8)

I suppose you want my definitive guide to the OTHER big contest on fight weekend - well here goes:

Had my local Shinner candidate in here the other night. Sweated him for over an hour. Boy was he sorry he called! He is neck-and neck with a blueshirt for the last seat. My moneys on the blueshirt. Overall SF will perform badly Fra, not what you want to hear, sorry.

Endas govt will fall likely short by about 4 seats but will get back in with help from a few like-minded independents, I'm sorry to say.
Be another election in 12-18 months.

As for the fight Quigg is seriously brainwashed and deluded. Frampton to win wide points (something like 116-112 / 8-4 in rounds) or late ko.

Is there anything else I can hep you with?

There trying to force Frampton into a brawl because they know the outcome if Carl boxes. Quigg is on Twitter trying to goad Frampton, something is has never did before.

I thought about that, Marty, and you're probably right.
However bear with me for a second - cos i have an alternative theory, ok?

Quigg is a slooow starter. He normally loses the early rounds, even against very ordinary opposition. (Or 'round' against kiko, before he landed the hail mary shot).

One possibility that occurs to me is that Team Quigg are actually AFRAID that Carl will come out blasting and jump all over Quigg from the first bell cos they know Quigg takes a few rounds to get going. (I also have a slight suspicion, cant quite put my finger on it, that Quigg is a bit chinny too.) I have a slight suspicion that team Quigg are worried about their man being vulnerable early, and being overwhelmed by a fast start from Frampton before Quigg has a chance to get going in the fight.

They are being SO blatant with all the goading that Im beginning to think maybe, just maybe they REALLY WANT Frampton start slow - to believe "hey these guys are trying to goad me into a war - I'll start very conservatively instead". Reverse psychology??? Am i giving team Quigg too much credit here??Probably!

    Just a thought. :thumbsup
