Hmm. It's a lot easier winning fights with a size advantage, experience advantage, home advantage etc, etc,...
First time I think I've ever saw Bowe ranked higher than Tyson. In general this list is way too 70's focused for my liking. Wlad (and trust me I really don't like him much) deserves to be ranked much higher under any criteria you want to use. That said, I'm merely voicing my opinion, I don't really enjoy knocking anyone's list because the whole topic is so subjective and I'm pretty sure my list would get criticised too.
I said "thanks"... Actually, it's a pretty good list otherwise. I would have the players in different order and have Waldo in and Dempsey out.
I agree, it's a pretty good list. I'd also have the players in different orders. Put some fighters, take some fighters out, etc.
I made a few of those points in the comments section. Did anyone notice Jack Johnson didn't crack it?
I have Ali Louis Lewis Holyfield Holmes Liston Foreman Tyson Bowe Johnson Dempsey Frazier Marciano Vitali Wlad Although I'm a bit unsure on my ordering from 4-8 as I change my mind on it quite often.
1. Louis 2. Ali 3. Lewis/Holmes 4. Holmes/Lewis 5. Wladimir Klitschko 6. Foreman 7. Tyson 8. Holyfield 9. Marciano 10. Frazier 11. Liston 12. Johnson 13. Dempsey 14. Vitali Klitschko 15. Bowe 16. Norton 17. Jeffries 18. Schmeling 19. Walcott 20. Patterson
