Frazier was hit much more and kept going back in the eye of the hurricane. He also didn't roll punches. He took them clean. Point I'm trying to make is, anybody hit like that is going down, no question. The question is, who's getting up. :think

I will extremely strongly disagree with this post.

    Extremely strongly hey...

I don't know I've seen plenty of Frazier fights and I've seen the fight on this thread pretty much in it's entirety and it certainly looks to me that Ruddock hits every bit as hard as Frazier, and he certainly has more leverage in his punches.

What leads you to believe otherwise??

I agree Frazier did take those punches from Foreman well, as did Tyson from three fighters I've mentioned. (Ruddock, Douglas, & Lewis)

But I'm a little baffled at saying Frazier didn't roll with punches, as if that's some sort of badge of honor. One of the things that made Duran so great was that he did exactly that, he rolled with the punches to reduce the impact.

I'm saying Frazier didnt roll his punches so the impact wasn't reduced.

I realize that, but you also have to realize that in general that's nothing to brag about, it's actually a deficiency.

Yeah, bit of a tired myth. "Mike was a bully who couldn't stand when they bullied him back!" Yeah yeah.

Are you really using a fight where Tyson (to my knowledge) never lost a round on any judge's scorecard to support your claim that Tyson had heart?

I'm using a fight in which he was pushed every round in a competitive fight to show that it took more than "standing up to him" to dent his confidence and beat him.

Or take the Douglas loss, if you want to. Tyson fought hard in that fight. He didn't just fold. It was a grueling affair and Tyson had to be stopped, there was no quit in him.

Is that why his corner man screamed at him "Don't just look at him You've gotta work him"?

People with heart can take a big shot to the face for 8-10 plus rounds and stay in their feet which frazier proved more often than not incapable of doing
