Mayweather's victory over Corrales, is one of the best wins of the 2000's!

Fair enough but obviously some saw it differently. I just find it interesting that were talking about the 3 cm height advantage and wrist size of jmm in a thread about Floyd's win over Diego corrales who had a nearly 3 inch height advantage and walked around at about 160

You were talkin about 98/99 originally and Corrales being above Hamed. 2001 was Barrera.

I know Hamed was looked upon greatly, because mainly how entertainingly he fought not on who he beat or fought. plus he fought away from home quite a bit considering he did not have to.
Please don't inflate Hernandez he had lost to Oscar 3 years prior and was at the end of his career at 32.

I didn't inflate anything. He had been making title defenses including beating an old but not shot Azumah. I think most people would rate him a little bit above any Hamed win. The Manfredy win didn't hurt Floyd's case either. He was hot at time they fought.

That my by the root of the weakness in your argument. You're not using the advantage of hindsight.

Why would a discussion of past pfp rankings be based on hindsight? You don't make any damn sense.

I'm gonna go out in a limb and assume you're a Mexican who coincidentally downplays Puerto Rican boxers, except in instances when they lose to Mexicans.

Because hindsight gives us a clearer picture of how accurate those
rankings actually were. If I had to explain that to you, then:conf

Sorry you are inflating him and a win over Nelson at that time is not special. Look a little deeper to the opposition these fighters were facing before facing Floyd at this time.
    Hamed > Corrales

Compare Corrales' best wins to Hamed's best wins.

The reason why Floyd doesn't get full credit regarding the size issue is because he used his status to determine the terms of the fight.

Examples include dragging up midgets like Hatton and JMM and draining bigger fighters like Corrales and Canelo

Floyd isn't the only one guilty of this, just the worst offender

I don't like Mayweather either, but just how did he "drag midgets like Hatton up," when Hatton had "beaten" Collazo for an alphabet 147 pound strap approximately a year before?

One of his best fights..... IMHO, I thought Chico would put some nice combos together and maybe hurt PBF but it was not the case, PBF showed his superiority from the get-go. And it didnt hurt PBF either the fact that he got into Chico's head all the way leading to fight night. Hell, if I remember correctly Chico got punked by PBF's crew the day he arrives in LV....And on top of that PBF sat Chico's wife (whom he was having issues at the time) ringside, thats was truly ****ed up....

    Canelo is the worst offender.
