DeGale EXPOSES GGG and Kovalev. Too tough, too slick.

    Lets start with the obvious, DeGale is LEVELS above anyone GGG or Kov has beaten. A highly skilled, slick young southpaw with an iron chin, good power and fast hands, a world champion in his prime, DeGale is probably the most underrated fighter in the game.

    His resume ****s on both guys, last year alone he defeated Bute and Andre Dirrell in their backyards, the same Dirrell that gave Genna a boxing lesson in the AMs. Considering how bad Andre was robbed against Froch, DeGale effectively took the 0 of a proven elite fighter, a fantastic and highly underrated win, miles ahead of anything Genna or Segey have done. Chunky has proven himself at a much higher level than both but curiously recieves a fraction of the hype :think

    Kovalev does not like awkward southpaws, word to Darnell Boone and the guy that knocked him cold in the amateurs. Add an iron chin, top handspeed and punching power into the mix and you have Krusher Kryptonite. Kovalev is way too predictable and one dimensional for a guy with elite skills. Throwing the jab/straight over and over again will not cut it at top level.

    DeGale would just be too big, too slick and too skilled for GGG who gets manhandled, ragdolled and TKO'd. I doubt we'll see this fight happen tho as GGG is terrified of leaving the MW wasteland, highly reluctant to face bigger world class opponents as evidenced by his demand of a 164 CW to face Ward.

    While this thread is practically a attempt to bait replies using exaggerated facts it does has a point. It bothered me to no end that Degale wasn't even considered for fighter of the year 2015.

    Nothing has been exaggerated. The fact that GGG was considered for FOTY 2015 and DeGale wasn't is very revealing indeed.

    It's funny that the OP highlights Golovkin's struggles with Dirrell in the ams but fails to mention that the guy who gave DeGale the fits in his last fight was knocked out by GGG with headgear on, again in the ams.

    Btw DeGale vs Pascal from the Froch fight would be a 50/50 fight.

    Also you might wanna recall this quote from GGG: 'Bute is the best i've ever fought, pro or amatuer'. So GGG readily admits DeGale has a better pro win than he does, and its not even DeGales best.

    No version of Pascal stands a chance against DeGale... if you truly believe that you don't understand what you're watching. Pascal is as crude and basic as they come. Completely different levels.

    Golovkin and particularly Kovalev are too proven to be "exposed". Even if they lost to DeGale I wouldn't consider them exposed - they just lost. It happens to most boxers out there at some point and wouldn't undo what they achieved in the past. Kovalev beat Hopkins, Pascal and a couple of other good boxers and that's not gonna get invalidated by anything.

    DeGale is really, really good I think. I couldn't have envisioned him coming back this strongly after losing narrowly to Groves in 2011. It's interesting how Groves' career actually ended up worse than DeGale's despite that fight. Groves would stand little chance against DeGale these days.

    Golovkin/DeGale is interesting, but DeGale can't afford to lay on the ropes and take a breather as he likes to do.

    Kovalev beats DeGale handily.

    GGG might be able to handle DeGale, but who knows? He's never shared the ring with a top fighter in 34 contests. Until he does, who can say how he'll cope in a bout without the odds heavily stacked in his favour?
