Today AJ did first 90% of job. The easiest 10% will come April 9, when AJ stops unheralded and equally inexperienced Charles Martin. As an AJ fan I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, he will win the belt in just 16 fights. On the other hand, he beats for the title opponent who has 1 win over TOP-20 HW and that win was due to injury. Not a real champion, but a paper beltholder. AJ KO2 Charles Martin
the bookies are paying F/A for an AJ win and i would not any money at those odds its to risky a bet. joshua is not proven and his chin is not granite.
I agree. But Martin is as inexperienced as AJ, and never faced anyone from TOP-40 besides Glazkov (same with AJ opponents besides Whyte). So my prediction is based on AJ having better power, strength, amateur experience and skills.
i think aj will win as well but he is fighting a 250lb southpaw and the odds are ****. make martin 4 to 1 against and joshua 3 to 1 on and thats fair given there abiltys but martin has a chance because joshua is so green. its a risk which hearn admitted.
AJ bumrushes Martin he gets caught flush with a counter left, down goes Joshua, he's getting up Jim, that's right he's been knocked out.:deal
I agree with your points, and I'll add that winning the IBF belt will force Joshua to step up his level of opposition. He may not be ready to fight A-level boxers yet. Surely Povetkin, Fury and Wilder will immediately start calling him out in public on April 9th.
