Kovalev thrashes everyone 175 and down, and would give a number of top CW's fits if he ever decided to go up
Based on him beating past prime B- level Pascal and a 100 yr old Hopkins, ok noob DeGale is like a much better version of Darnell Boone who nearly KO'd him and by many accounts deserved the W in their first fight
Threads and some of these responses makes me wonder why did I came here in the first place. Level of knowledge and argumentation skills are getting worse every year..
Which accounts were these? I've researched that fight as much as possible from the contemporary records and whilst it's apparent kovalev gassed badly in the latter part of the fight, AFAIK not even Boone claimed the result to be unfair (contrast to the Ward fight where he did - although wrongly IMO). Oh. And Deezol fights nothing at all like Degale - though I respect both as fighters. Degale vs GGG would be a fight I'd very much like to see and exactly the kind of step up Golovkin needs. IMO GGG wins fairly clearly, but that's just a personal take. Degales lower workrate and tendency to fade weigh heavily against him in this matchup I think. Kovalev beats Degale. Fairly brutally. No question in my mind.
So the guy that goes life and death with Groves, Dirrell, Wilczewski, Khatchikian and Bootay exposes Kovalev. Stupid is too kind a word to describe this thread. Bute gets shut out by Pascal, Pascal was almost killed twice by Kovalev. Degale barely beat Bute. "Cool Story Bro" (I'm speaking douchespeak just for you, I figure you might understand it better that way:good)
kovalev is a beast at 175 / ward is the type of fighter to give him problems because of his spoiling type stylew means kovalev cannot get into a rythem with him/albeit he handled hopkins well but ward is much fresher and hugrier. ggg v degale would be a good fight and competitive / i think ggg wins but on points
DeGale looked 10x better in the AM's. And Golovkin beat him there. But keep trying you re****ed PoS mod alt.
I know you've only been following boxing a couple years but you should know what 'life or death' means by now atsch DeGale beat all those guys much more convincingly than Kovalev beat Boone first time. He was also plagued by an injury for much of his early career which has now cleared up, but of course you choose to ignore whatever doesn't fit your agenda. Are facts stupid? DeGale has beaten much better comp including a guy that already beat GGG and is the only one of the three to prove himself at legit world class level. This isn't opinion, the cold hard facts are there for everyone to see. Keep on fanboying tho son.
He might be able to find a way to beat Gennady, although I don't think that's very likely. He gets utterly destroyed by Kovalev, however. :smoke
Not as funny as the absurd suggestion that a mediocre talent like DeGale can beat the beast which is Kovalev. :smoke
