Quite tough but Joshua got rid of him in two & didn't have to throw everything but the kitchen sink to force a stoppage like Martin did.

I just rewatched Joshua v the Love Machine... how could Martin take ten rounds with him?

Edit - Just watched Martin's tenth round against Zumbano.

Joshua's going to brutalise him. It ain't even funny.

AJ within 6 rounds for me. Martin is fairly decent but I'm not massively impressed with him. Didn't think he'g get a title shot after this many fights or that level of comp to be honest but good luck to the lad

    20 is a bit harsh, I can name 10:

    Wlad
    Fury
    Wilder
    Povetkin
    Ortiz
    Haye
    Pulev
    Joshua
    Jennings
    Stiverne/Takam

Has Martin got a half decent chin? There is so little footage of him it's like the fight is taking place in the 1900s.

Wont be as good as originally planned, now that they have paid Martin a fortune to bring his belt over.

I expect this was IBF's plan all along when the stripped Fury, loads more money to be made if world titles are split rather than one fighter holding the lot.

I tend to agree with you. Would say Martin is around the bottom of the top 15. Good fight for Joshua at this stage IMO and of course will propel his earnings to new heights

Martin deserves to be ranked above Haye, clearly.
Even that dodgy win over Glazkhov is miles more meaningful than KO1 De Mori.

Martin is a nobody, but there's no evidence that Martin is any worse than Wilder.

Martin is a nobody yet he is the IBF world champion?

Also wtf has a 21 year old Hughie Fury got to do with this?

Joshua is 27 of course he is going to be at a higher level in a weight category where boxers do not peak until they are in there 30's.

Martin is ranked above Haye, I listed 10 fighters I think would beat Martin, nothing to do with rankings.

That belt means nothing, and most people wondered how on earth he got the chance to contest any vacant "world title". Glazkhov was just above a fringe contender anyway,
Don't get me wrong, most of the division are nobodies too. Outside of Fury and Wlad, there's not many established fighters. I'd say Povetkin and Ortiz are solid now, and Wilder, with such weak credential has at least got some sort of interest now.
