Joshua to fight Martin

Maybe. I'm not sold on Haye. His best win was against Chisora and he hasn't done anything in the 4 years since then.

Yeah, he's not a complete nobody, I didn't mean that. But his resume is incredibly thin and if he loses this one and never does anything again, people will scratch their head and say "who was he again?".
But, all things considered, I give him a good chance against Joshua (although I really haven't seen enough of him to judge) and in truth he might be a better fighter than Wilder. That's not saying much.

 

Martin should be pretty confident going into this fight.

 

Both of there resumes are pretty thin to be honest, Whyte was a decent win for Joshua but neither deserve to be world champion yet.

 

AJ will smash Martin to pieces, I've seen a few of his fights and there's not much to shout home about.

Risky from AJ though, like I said I think he'll beat Martin but this basically means the development period is over - one thing getting to the top and then another staying there.

 

True, look at these statistics :

Martin has been 4 rounds (or into the 4th) a few times, 6 rounds only twice, and went into the 10th round just once.

Joshua went into the 7th round his last fight, and all his others were over inside 3.

They haven't fought anyone really. Both are still almost complete novices.

 

Don't get me wrong I don't think Haye is the beast most others on this forum do, just think he'll be a little too sharp for Martin who seems to leave himself wide open.

 

If Martin somehow manages to beat Joshua, I think that trumps any of Wilder's defences & will make him the top HW in the U.S. In my opinion, not sure if others would agree?
