GGG never wanted the Ward fight for obvious reasons. People spin it all kinds of ways but everybody know what's up. Ward has moved on and set his sights on Kov. That is gonna be a good fight because Kov's boxing has improved a whole lot. Ward can't afford to let the fight linger past this year. His skills is the only upside and Kov is closing that gap fast.

 

Wasn't it Saint Sanchez who spread the rumour that Golovkin hurt and beat up Kovalev in their sparring sessions?
It must be because Jackson hasn't really said much of anything about GiGi.

 

A month and a half away and Hunter is still sweating a guy 2 divisions smaller.

True. GGG's people don't want to risk him losing or looking bad and they know there is a very high chance of one or both of those things happening if he fought Ward. Ward making him look bad could hurt Golovkin's marketability.
