If he doesn't fight Wade he loses his IBF title because Canelo and Saunders turned it down.

He is trying to unify the titles. If Lara wants to fight him, why not becoming mandatory or go after one of the titles GGG wants to unify?

I just think the man needs to start making some good fights move up or down a few pounds or call people out more or take his beating from eubank jr :p

But what proof have you got Lara wants to step into the ring with him. Why has he never had his team contact GGG's team as has been confirmed by both fighters teams.

I'll take his word and Decubas word for that matter.. And you know and I know getting a fight done has more to it than "Just send the contract, and I'll sign it"! Don't we?

Yes, and you start by making contact with the fighters team.

Something that Lara has never done yet with GGG. Confirmed by both GGG's promoter and Lara's manager

How do you know preliminary talks never happened..."GGG" already went on record saying "Lara, brings no money" so he knows Lara is calling him out but is reluctant for some reason to fight him... IMO Lara has some Value taking Canelo to a close fight many people felt he won. I personally had Canelo-Lara a Draw. He get's brownie points for that.:deal

Lara's very own manager here at 1.20:

"formally we have never reached out to them"

How many times has GGG been on record saying he wants to unify all the titles in the middleweight division? Lara is not even a middleweight, doesn't hold one of the titles GGG wants to win, nor does he hold a mandatory position for any of the titles GGG currently owns. If GGG fought Lara next he would lose the IBF title. Simple.

I 100% guarantee you, if Lara won one of the other titles at Middleweight or become a mando, GGG would take that fight. And if Lara actually attempted to do that, I would believe him that he wants to fight GGG. Or at least made some form of contact outside tweets to do it. As it stands, he's proven to be all mouth and no trousers about this

How the hell do you bash Lara as an opponent but praise opponents like Wade or Murray who have never been considered elite ever.

At least a lot of people consider Lara an elite level fighter, me personally I have GGG beating Lara but at least that would bring some legitimacy to the hype job that is Golovkin.
It's damn ridiculous the lengths y'all go to to tear down actual top fighters to big up the trash bin that is Golovkins resume. Outside of Geale who is just barely passable. There is absolutely no fighter on Golovkins resume that has EVER been called an elite fighter.

And I'm sure if Lara ever took a fight with Golovkin he'd also be a bum in your view? :think

That's all fine, but why did GGG say Monroe was a bigger name and brought more money than Lara when Monroe was never in a high profile fight before, and relatively unknown? So GGG was aware that Lara was trying to get his attention. :deal

Fact of the matter is Lara would be the best fighter on GGG's resume if he took the fight. Spinks got a shot at Taylor. De La Hoya got a shot at Sturm, Leonard got a shot at Hagler... So these things have happened before... GGG's popular but his resume is shaky, real shaky!

One thing we agree on, Golovkin-Lara is a mismatch.

Less of a mismatch then any GGG opponent to date. IMO it would be his biggest challenge to date, much more so than guys like Lemieux and Murray.
