Serious question: is this a 'cash out' for martin or a 'semi cash out' for Joshua

Most people on this forum were convinced that Fury was being "cashed out" when he faced Wlad.

 

Considering Martin is coming to the UK for his first defense, I suspect he's been offered a pay day well beyond what he could hope to earn back in the States.

 

Cash out for Martin all the other champions are busy and most contenders would beat him without generating much £££. Joshua is obviously a huge financial draw.

Joshua will win this fight, I just think its too early for him to be a "proper" world champion so Eddie will hold the belt hostage for a while before we see the big world title fights we all hope for.

 

If Martin didn't have a world title then there would have been more or less zero chance that this fight got made. Hearn thinks he's buying a title here and in fairness to him he probably is.

 

Spot on, except the part about Fury and Wilder being high risk.

Wilder would keep AJ at the end of the jab until an opening appeared, then knock him out.

Fury would simply embarrass AJ, and highlight all his flaws, before AJ's corner rescue him from further punishment.

 

It's just a fight that makes sense.

For Martin, Joshua is still inexperienced and therefore potentially beatable whilst being a good payday and being a decent name.

For Joshua, Martin is also quite inexperienced and beatable whilst also bringing a world title to the table.

Both sides truly believe they can win so it's nothing to do with "cashing out" imo.

 

Martin probably has little money, and wants a pay day. He wants as much money as quick as possible. It's definately about the money for Martin

 

Neither boxer views it as a cash out. Both think they can beat a relatively inexperienced opponent. Hiwever neither should be fighting for any version of the heavyweight title as yet...even if it is the IBF.
Both management teams are cashing out to a certain extent as they don't know if their man is the real deal and this fight will make more money than it has any right to for both sides.

 

It's a good opportunity for both of them and no way Martin gets more money in any other fight.

 

I know they are different quality of opponent but Linares was payed large to come over here for Mitchell and that backfired in a big way for Matchroom.

I believe AJ wins but I think Martin will come here to win and believing he can and why wouldn't he?

Martin is 29 years old, the world champion, 23-0 (21 KO's), he is 6 foot 5 and a southpaw so I don't understand how quite a few people are completely writing him off.

 

The IBF belt will go hand in hand with Eddie's PPV plan. Joshua will be facing mandatory after mandatory. That plane will be landing left right and centre.

 

I wonder if Kevin Bizier can bulk up to heavyweight?

 

How anyone can think it's a cash out for joshua is beyond me.
People saying they saw he got rocked by whyte and realised he isn't that great?
It's a learning curve!!!
