Will AJ become a HOF'er, largely due to his athleticism

Jennings has very little boxing fundamentals, but he made the most out of it with hard work at night (while working as a mechanic in a bank!). AJ has a good amateur career and solid fundamentals. Good foot work, good reflexes, good jab and solid right hand and left cross. We will have to see how he operates under pressure but so far AJ is a good prospect. Jennings was NEVER a good prospect. More like a hard-working gatekeeper.

His Glass Jaw will keep him from that.

I'm probably going to be criticised for being on the hype train here when defending AJ purely because I'm a brit (ultimately, I think he has a good deal of developing still to do - great prospect though)... Really don't understand where this glass jaw sh*t comes from though???

It seems as though if you get wobbled it means you have a questionable jaw (I assume you're referring to the Whyte fight)... In reality, it proves just the opposite. He took a heavy shot from a big HW with good KO record, recovered and came back to score a KO of his own. In my mind, that's the opposite of a glass jaw :thumbsup

Anthony Joshua was an Olympic gold medallist.
He's from the UK which is a pretty influential boxing centre these days.
He's signed with the UK's leading promoter and broadcaster.
He's undefeated and has not looked at all bad so far.
    He can punch.

It all makes him marketable and hype-able to the general public.
Hype is just part of boxing. It's business.

I think he will get pretty far, but not because of "athleticism". The guy looks pretty damn stif to me, because of those bulky muscles.

And he's probably roided up. That might be his downfall, with better testing finally taking shape.

Yes people mistake his aesthetics for athleticism. He's physically very imposing but in terms of athletic ability his only remarkable attribute is his power, he's not that fast, or agile, or explosive.

Joshua has potential without a doubt but I wonder about his size .he has the big muscles and all that looks the part to the public but Bruno was similar back in the early eighties ripped like a body builder which made him stiff and robotic although his one shot power dealt with 90%of opponents but will Joshua run out of steam late like frank if he is fighting someone he can't ko. I would prefer to see him leaner with less bulk this would help with speed and stamina .

Don't listen to the chin-obsessed-weirdos on this forum. They're all generally trolling (at least that's the way it looks).

That said, I think their ammunition comes from both the Whyte fight and Joshua getting stopped by Nistor in the ams.

I think Joshua has a chance as much as Wlad made it to the Hof after becoming a much better defensive fighter. Both Joshua and Wilder I feel has weak chins but can reach the Hof by focusing more on defense and apply their athleticism and size for offense.
