Gotta credit Gonzalez for a big part of the ticket sales I think. That and the cards are generally solid overall. At the DL fight, a much greater proportion of the crowd was in attendance much earlier than is typically the case at high profile fights. Because people weren't just showing up for the main event. People were buying tickets because they are a good value for an entire card. This card will probably be the same. If you are a boxing fan, what's not to like about seeing p4p king Roman Gonzalez fight a legit guy in his division followed by GGG smashing some dudes face. Most everyone is super plowed by then anyhow.
Fair enough. If Mark Taffet says the fight did 900K PPV then I won't argue. Bumlovkin is in a deeper hole than I previously thought...
Went and saw GGG Tito ad ortiz in MSG in October, it was an awesome event (regardless of ppv #s....as a fan why the **** do you care?) electric atmosphere, full of boxing fans, loud, good times! Im assuming this will be the same
Him and canelo are the face of boxing now. Canelo is the ppv king for now but GGG has a huge following.
I think Ward's nephew bought a nosebleed ticket but is now trying to return it/sell on Craig's List because he'd rather spend the money seeing Deadpool in IMAX 3D.
