Mark my words: Wilder will not goto Moscow. He will drop the belt if Povetkin enforces the Moscow card.

I don't see Wilder dropping the belt. But fighting in Russia would put more pressure on him to get a knockout and avoid a bad decision.

The other interesting thing about that article is it pretty much confirms Povetkin's team is the one that has been delaying the fight.

Well, the Tyson-Lewis superfight was held in Memphis, Tennessee, of all the places on earth it could've been held. New York or London certainly would've seemed more logical places at that time.

    So, you never know.

Drop it for what? You guys have been predicting this for a freaking year. How many times can you be wrong before you stop saying it?

Wilder wants to get paid. Wilder thinks he can beat Povetkin. Wilder is going to get paid and he's going to see if he can beat Povetkin.

If Povetkin wants the belt, he'll have to beat Wilder for it.

    Wilder isn't dropping anything.

It could be held in NYC and Povetkin would have a sizable crowd on his side due to the massive Russian population in that city. Hell, if I were a betting man I'd say that he'd have significantly more fans there than Wilder.

NY seems like a fair compromise.

Ron Scott Stevens, before he became a NYSAC Chairman tried to get the Lewis vs Tyson fight at Madison Square Garden, but was overruled by the other commissioners.

Stevens tried to get numerous major fights in New York, but was constantly criticized for his approach.

Then when he did become Chairman, under his direction, New York went from maybe 15 club shows to nearly 40, including some big fights, but the other commission always voted against the major fights, claiming it would increase crime and congestion in their state...:patsch

Governor Roy Barnes, Georgia flat out refused to allow Tyson to fight in this state, throwing away a possible 100 million dollar revenue.

Numerous other states refused to grant Tyson a license following his press conference brawl with Lewis...!!!

[Memphis] Tennessee Athletic Commission jumped at the possibility of hosting the fight, seeing it a money making investment...!!!

It is an article from Alabama news, what do you expect?

Both sides have been accusing each other of stalling the fight.
