Look at this board and the threads we had here in 2006. People were getting eviscerated for saying Pacquiao would beat Hatton and Cotto.

We'll see but I doubt Khan will pull off the upset.

Pac 2 years prior to facing Oscar had beaten Morales, Solis, Barrera, Marquez and Diaz.

Khan in the last 2 years has beaten Collazo, Alexander and Algieri, not exactly very comparable to Pac's run before Oscar.

Also Oscar was weight drained, Canelo will not be drained like De La Hoya was against Pac.

Yet literally 90% of the Boxing community disregarded that and said that DLH will still make short work out of Pacquiao. It's easy to say he's weight drained today and attempt to discredit Pacquiao, but back when it mattered, almost everyone gave Pacquiao zero chance in hell and called him a sell-out.

This is true, but the reason everyone favored DLH so much was because they expected him to have a huge weight advantage in the ring. If you had told people that DLH would've been so drained that manny would actually outweigh him by 2lbs on fight night 148-146 I suspect that predictions would have been different. Its not Manny's fault but Oscar was severely drained.

Canelo isn't good at cutting off the ring, but he'll still apply pressure, and Khan doesn't handle pressure well.

Floyd stood in the pocket against Canelo. Khan doesn't have the chin, the defense, or the ring IQ to afford to do what Floyd did.

Khan will have to fight a perfect fight, and I don't think he can.

"Speed kills" when it is used with proper timing, skills, smarts, punch selection. Areas in which Khan isn't especially good in.

Khan is levels below Pacquiao, and Canelo is better than the 2008 version of Oscar who got down to 147.

It's a mismatch. Canelo is bigger and better than the chinny Khan. Canelo isn't a big puncher but he'll probably look like one against Khan.

The great SRL made LtHvy champ Donny Lalonde come in at 168 lbs for their SuperMiddie / LtHvy Title fight. Lalonde was totally weight drained, but took a bunch of cash to the bank.

I picked Pacquiao to beat Oscar but I'm picking Canelo over Khan.

But yeah don't completely write Khan off. Huge upsets do occasionally happen.

It's laughable that you are equating Pac to Khan. :patsch

Now that you mention it, there is a chance Canelo could be somewhat drained if he cuts as much weight as people say he does.

Khan is not Pac in any sense period to to compare them is utterly ridiculous. Like someon pointed out, before facing DLH, Pac had pretty good wins under his belt, something Khan has yet to have. That and his chin of course...

Khan knocking him out is more likely than Khan getting a decision imo.
