    Degale is a fast southpaw

Dirrell got straight robbed in the UK against Froch. Folks scoring rounds for the hometown favorite because they don't like how the other fighter fights.
Degale is a strong opponent for anybody, even Ward. The main thing I don't like about Degale is that he loses focus and loses rounds that he doesn't have to. Ward is more disciplined and does not lose focus. He would likely outpoint Degale in a 8-4 type of decision.

From what I recall most magazines scored that fight for Froch.

I doubt Ward will ever fight Kovalev. I predict a KO, and probably early.

I could see it happening if Kovalev gets badly exposed or has several draining fights and starts looking beatable or if Kovalev gets too tight at the weight and is having trouble making weight

You could be right. Though I think Kovalev is all wrong for Ward, and even if exposed or looking drained would backfire on Ward. This isn't Froch or faded Kessler. Kovalev is a different animal.

I always felt both Froch and Kessler were faded

I don't think Froch was at his peak, but still a force IMO. Kessler was clearly more faded I think. Though It was still a decent win.

You say Froch was still a force but faded Kessler beat him at that time and Froch was coming off a Mdec over boiled down faded G Johnson

I think peak Kessler was a better fighter than Froch is kind of what I am getting at. Though Froch has a great SMW resume

Prime Kessler beats any version of Froch comfortably. I said it many moons before they first fought and I still feel that way now.

    I agree with that.

Andre Ward is a world class fighter. Maybe the best in the world skill wise atm. DeGale is maybe the best boxer in the SMW atm, but only due to the lack of world class fighters after Froch and Kessler retirement and Ward moving up to LHW.

Not a mile between those two, but i see Ward winning a easy decision.

I see Degale giving Ward a difficult fight. However, Ward will outclass him in the later stages of the fight.

Wouldn't rule out Degale shattering Ward's glass chin though
