Did they prosecuted cases involving underage black girls during the crow years btw? Or not even that?

 

As mentioned earlier, if the Wikipedia article is believed to be accurate, the vast majority of people prosecuted under the Mann Act were for having ***ual contact with minors between states, which is fine by me, as they certainly should be convicted of something. One would have thought statutory **** might be the way to go, but as long as they're behind bars for a prolonged period of time, I'm fine with them being charged under the Mann Act.

Yeah some people seem to have issues separating racial matters from legal matters so I guess I must clarify my position too.

There were 100's of black boxers not in jailed during Johnson's time who had no such problem. Imagine that. In fact, none of them did unless say they committed murder like Jack Blackburn did.

Casting a blind eye at Johnson's self-created problems, and blaming race today wouldn't even make it to a grand jury level.

By best guess is Obama will give Johnson a pardon. It would fit his previous actions and the black lives matter / anti-police movement.

You've been here longer than me? Really? Because I was one of the first writers for this website when it catered almost exclusively to eastern European boxers. I doubt you've been here since then as most people hadn't even heard of it at that point.

I view Klompton pragmatically. Sometimes his research is excellent, but his grudges against modern fighters and sometimes inability to comprehend or acknowledge the other side of the argument takes him down several pegs.

If his real life bitterness is anything close to how he presents himself here, he must be a tough person to get along with. We all know the type. Other times, when he's not experiencing PMS he's fine and open for posting boxing.

I heard him speak on Greb. Amazingly enough, he sounded like a very soft spoken, almost sedated person.

I hear he's going to author an updated version on how to win friends and influence people.
