i know there are guys who would knock him out, but who do you think has a ring iq high enough to beat floyd at his own game. watching the judah fight and seeing how much trouble floyd had adjusting to judah, even in the late rounds, i can see a prime pernell whittaker beating floyd by UD. pernell's defense was better, he was just as good at counter punching and setting up counters, and he also fought better fighters throughout his career. i think tommy hearns is another person who would UD floyd if he didn't knock him out. he has too much of a height and reach advantage, he also was very slick and knew how to cut off the ring and set up his own counter punches as well. look what he did to leonard before he gassed and got stopped. who else?

    Ah for **** sake.

People who bring up the 'the Judah fight' are normally the same guys who've never watched it.

I suggest people go and watch it before commentating on it.

The only 3 guys id say have a good chance of outboxing Floyd at ww, would be SRR, SRL and Hearns.

Not bad company if you ask me.

Good list. Id also favor Pep and Saddler at 130. Maybe Johnny Dundee (though he would have been small), Kid Chocolate, Alexis Arguello, and call me crazy but I would have loved to have seen what Tony Lopez, John John Molina, and Roberto Garcia would have done with him because he wasn't a big puncher at any weight and those guys gave you hell if you weren't a puncher.

Ike Williams and Freddie Dawson at 135.

    Eddie Perkins at 140.

DLH at 147 (he almost beat him when he was an old cokehead). Trinidad, maybe Quartey, Mickey Walker, Kid Gavilan, maybe Johnny Bratton (who isn't an ATG) and maybe Cokes (who isn't an ATG), Luis Rodriguez, maybe Vernon Forrest (not an atg) and probably Shane Mosley in his prime.

There are probably lots of old-timers, like Charley Burley and Tommy Bell, who'd be at least 50-50 to outbox Floyd Mayweather.
Seeing these guys on film and comparing their skills to Mayweather, they look the part.
They just didn't have the benefit of this modern era, they had to fight regularly for peanuts, often fighting bigger men and often getting shafted on the score cards.

Floyd would take Duran to school.

I think Durans reach was in the same ballpark as Pacqiauos, maybe shorter.

I don't see him troubling Floyd in any way at all.

Hearns because of his size and SRR/SRL because of the tools the bring to the table.

Another guy I forgot to mention is Forest.

Mayweather himself said Forest would have been his toughest foe.

How can you compare a past prime Pac to welterweight versions of Leonard,Hearns and especially welterweight Robinson???
I also noticed in a previous post you compared Pac to Duran LMAO.

You're thinking too much about comparing power whilst forgetting about the extra skills these greats bring to the table that Pac only dreams of possessing.

Duran would take Mayweather into deep water and drown him. Hed also show him some of his own shoulder rolling. If Mayweather thought he was lucky when Mosley gave up trying to win one round after buckling his legs then hed been in big trouble against Duran.

This was my reaction initially as well but think about it for a second. Floyd would not get Locche to come to him. In this fight Floyd would have to be the aggressor and that could set up a very interesting fight and present Locche with opportunities. If Floyd didn't come to Locche then they would stand there staring at each other and it would in a very bad draw because Locche was just fine doing nothing and waiting for a guy to come to him.
