When it's all said & done, Floyd Mayweather Jr. will go down as the best ever.

Only mainstream/newbie fans and dumb ones put that much emphasis on Compubox.

Mayweather is an ATG, I'm not sure exactly how high he'd be on an all-time list. Not close to number one

Nah....best of an era but not best ever. His fans will take Floyd’s self proclamation as gospel but history will have a realistic view of Floyd’s accomplishments. The undefeated record isn't going to hold as much weight as he believes it will because being the greatest or best ever has more to do with depth and substance in a fighters resume. Which Floyd had a very good one, but there are many other great fighters with better resumes....even with losses.

I said 0x FIGHT of the year. Five fights of Ali were ranked as "Fight of the Year", none of Floyd's.

    An outstanding post.

If we still had the original 8 weight classes today, how many would Floyd have fought in?

When you see it wrote out like that, it's utterly depressing.

    A joke.

He held the WBA, WBC and WBO welterweight titles simultaneously along with the Ring and Lineal welterweight titles, which is a far more impressive feat.

Fair point but to beat as many champions as he has without suffering a single loss is astonishing to say the least. His record for beating the most world champions will not be surpassed.

These two numbnuts (Brixton and TStealer) are unable to argue with facts so they resort to insults. Weak!

Great fighter in a weak era.

His biggest wins were against fighters who get demolished in the 70's and 80's.

Floyds longest period at a weight is welter so put Floyd in with this lot and tell me how great he is then.

    1. Marlon Starling.
    2. Maurice Blocker.
    3. Mark Breland.
    4. Lloyd Honeyghan.
    5. Simon Brown.
    6. Don Curry.

    Floyd goes on vacation.
