[yt]UQXACSByIv8[/yt] Just...everything about this farce. Don't actually watch the first two minutes; I'll save you the lost time & brain cells. Gracie came out southpaw and threw some weak, slow front-kicks. Shamrock jumped in and out nervously with his arms up and spread wide, and then badly missed a right spin-kick. The crowd by this point is booing LOUDLY. (which, . They bought tickets for this. Did they expect it to be good?) ...and then a soft, grazing knee on the chest does Ken in. :!: ...and then both act like idiots afterward. Shamrock a sore loser, and Royce a little too proud of himself for having done a fat lot of nothing. Both are shot old men with no business fighting professionally. The goddamn referee could have jumped in and kicked both their asses simultaneously any time he wanted.
Just watched it, Shamrock actually got kneed in the groin. A sham of a fight, looked like it could have been fixed as was the Kimo vs Dada fight where Dada goes down Bruce Seldon vs Tyson style, from a missed punch. atsch
Even if he got kneed in the groin that was a farce. Almost everything about the way he reacted during and after the fight was questionable. Dana is SO happy!
The entire event was pure comedy.... One of the worst fight cards I've seen in a long, long time... Though to be fair the knee actually was low, as the 2nd replay clearly showed but that's academic. The fight was a joke and should haven't been made to begin with. The Slice/Dada-5000 was worse and is a serious contender for worst MMA fighter of the modern era, Tyson was drunk out of his mind during the Guillard/Campos fight. The card did succeed at being a masterpiece of unintentional comedy though, I found myself laughing at the sheer awfulness of it all quite a few times.
Let's not pretend regular UFC MMA matches are much better. It's a freakshow "sport", always has been and always will be. UFC 1 was basically a collection of freakshow fight and those two guys created MMA. Without these two guys you wouldn't have UFC today.
Btw Gracie family is the biggest disgrace in the history of combat sports. Their entire history is nothing but lies, they try to convince people that they invented an entirely new style of fighting or whatever but this so-called "Gracie Jiu Jitsu" brought absolutely nothing new to the table. There's nothing in BJJ that you wouldn't be prepared for if training Sambo or other submission grappling styles like catch wrestling. BJJ itself derives from judo and got all the techniques from there. Fedor never trained BJJ a day in his life and is MMA GOAT and Sakuraba submitted all those Gracies and didn't have BJJ training either. Yet braindead American UFC fans think that Gracie family revolutionized fighting or whatever. Royce Gracie is a massive scumbag, the same goes for Renzo, Rickson...
So cringeworthy to watch, but not as bad as that Kimbo fight(CM Punk could not be that bad).....and Ken Shamrock is actually gonna fight Dan Severn next and disgraced legend and current bum Roy Jones is also gonna box a fan on that card. Bellator should learn this from this and stop putting these guys on.
Royce actually performed pretty decent. Dont get me wrong he was foul as helll with the knee but before that he was controlling distance with kicks that looked like they had some hot sauce on them which we've never seen him utilize. He was making it hard for Ken Shamcrock to do anything. As for Dada vs Kimbo ...damn man I never laughed so hard during a fight. No way in hell either of those guys did any training at all for this.
Yeah he's a bit younger and less banged up than Ken. I thought he looked pretty good too all things considered as well. Looked to me like he was going to chop those weak legs out eventually, if not in that round....
they were great in their day but Randy vs Toney was 100 times better than this fight atsch who wants to see old Royce and old Kenny fight? Ken is lucky his hip isn't broken :bbb
Shamrock was knocked out something like 11 times in his last 16 fights. About 9 of them were him getting sparked out in the very first round. Summation is that the only danger fighting "The World's Most Dangerous" man for past ten years or so is the permanent damage Shamrock is receiving from suffering knockout loss after loss after loss..... okay, you get the picture. CTE could very well be looming on the horizon already. He has to be stopped from fighting again.
