Tbf any fighter can come up with a bunch of excuses why they didn't perform (toes, socks etc). If he really wanted people to think he's flawed and to stop avoiding him, he could have not told people this story. Didn't some people also say he had the Flu or something as an excuse for this performance.?

Theres a difference between excuses and reasons. People give such a negative connotation to excuses. Having a broken toe is more than a legitimate reason for under performing. I'm baffled at how anyone can even try to argue otherwise. If you can't see the difference between intentionally not wearing socks, and having a broken toe, then I feel sorry for you.
